I always like to study my table but sometimes I feel like I might be focusing too much on things that might not be so important vs things that are. Just out of curiosity and also for educational reasons what are the things to most look for when playing? I like MTTs on ignition Poker but sometimes the tourneys blinds move fast. What are the most accurate things to study when reading an opponent online?

The first thing is if you can recognize their playing style, LAG, TAG etc. Then I like to look for tendencies like: floats flop, likes to check call mid strength hands, bluffs turn when checked to, likes to hero call, calls weak on wet boards, etc. When I take notes on players that I don’t have a lot of history with I will add ‘May’ before the tendencies so I know that it’s not confirmed yet but I have seen them do those things a few times before. Also take note of opening ranges, calling ranges and raising ranges when possible.

The only type of player you need to write about is a severe slowplayer, the rest are obvious if you're paying attention and using HUD stats.

Slowplayers are the only players worth physically labelling+noting trust me on this.

in a tournament the average player changes his game three times depending on the phase of the tournament, so it is necessary to change the strategy and the range of hands that is put to the villains, but to know his index of the fold post flop and poses seen from the blinds will help a lot as well as the times he attacks after the flop

Only on the last few tables I start taking notes. Taking notes at the beginning isn't really useful because you constantly get moved to another table and vice versa.

I usually make notes of all the players when the game is important, all the info that we obtain of our opponents always will be of valid in the future
