Hey guys so I play online poker and I do good a lot of the time but it seems like after I’m up, I can’t sustain it and make it continuously grow over hours of time. I understand there is variance but just looking to make it grow on longer sessions, have any of you experienced this?

I believe that in poker it is difficult to achieve stable profits, because you can win and lose a big amount.

Assuming you mean in a single tournament and not your bankroll, you might just be tightening up too much when you get a big stack. It's a common play because it's an easy way to float past the bubble, but it's worth it to risk the safety of your stack in the mid game for the chance at doubling and getting much deeper.

What structure are you in? Which one do you specialize in?
What HUD do you use?
What is your BB win rate?
How many hands have you played?

If there is just you and another player at the table, both starting with $100. If you play long enough and are evenly matched, your opponent or you will have 5 bucks and the other player in this duel will have nothing. Where did the other $195 go? If you can answer this question, then you know why it is hard to make your bankroll rise over a long period of time.

Make sure tour hydrated, well fed, and free from any distractions.
Sit comfortable, if you dont have a good chair to sit in, you can easily
loose concentration just slightly.

Be mentally ready for sessions and do take breaks in between when
needed.Breaks are important.

Also be aware of swings, you can play absolutely correct and still
loose money.

Not sure what OP is talking about.

He mentions sustaining profit, but then is unclear in his post as to what he is having trouble sustaining.

Is it your chip stack or your profit?

It’s my chip stack I always seem to make it grow but pretty sure that makes me get too loose so I loose it sometimes, win rate is decent, might need some time off.

This should be a call, there are many missed draws, we dont have ace of clubs either so its more likely he has a flushdraw, we dont block any Q high bluffs or K high gutshots, while its hard to have those on this runout its def possible and enough to justify a call, utg is just overfolding in this spot if he folds aces especially without a club aswell, we dont lose to much as played other then sets and flopped straights which are very unlikely.

Right, but aside from that, do you see the mistake UTG made here?

He has AA...

Structure? Texas Holdem does that answer it?

I’m on America’s cardroom

Bb win rate is about 65%

Just online I’ve played 2,832 hands
