So Ive been playing at FT for the last month, constant small uploads and then micro stakes grinding stt sng's etc... I know I know- Ill deposit ten dollars as my way of justifying losing it 100 times... I normally do alright, and double the bankroll give or take... but then I get cocky and my BRM skills (non existant) go to crap and I end up at a rush table doing good until I break even... I can only play smart poker when I am losing, Anyways past 4 or 5 days I have not deposited anything just as a show of self discipline (addiction issues ha) but have continued to play in every free roll available to me.. I have won a few BLT tickets, a sunday brawl, a few weekly freerolls but I always blow it before the bubble on the little cash games, its just agravating to sit at a mtt for 6 hours and get sucked out on a horrible hand.. I know its a freeroll and the hourly payout is 100% garbage, ive just been trying to get .40c to be able to give it a shot without breaking my rule on depositing... Im reading sklansky's no limit theory/practice and I have a couple phil gordan books that I snagged along the way...also I use pt3, trial version but still try to anaylze that and learn from my mistakes.. Basically, I am looking for anything else I can do to try and become profitable? Im in the army at Ft. Hood and many of my friends just got deployed so I am able to commit the time to playing, I just need to relax i suppose- Any advice/thoughts/help would be appreciated

If you can, make a larger deposit into the account. Rather than $10 here and $10 there, put in something like $100 but then make sure you religiously stick to bankroll management. The discipline required will surely stand you in good stead down the line. When I first started, I played a lot of $1.10 MTTs on pokerstars - yes it can be tedious to sit there for hours before losing to a worse hand, but I felt it was useful to watch the hands I wasn't involved in. I know this can be achieved by just watching any table, but I feel like you learn more if you actually have something invested.

As pricecube said, if you can deposit 50-100 you are better off. You need to have a roll to help absorb the downswings and variance the comes with poker, especially mtts, those are pure evil.
Good luck.
You can use the search feature here for bankroll management, we have some great information.

I know, I have thought about giving myself an ultimatum and just hold off on going to the bar one night, use that money too start... That what even if i bust playing poker it wasnt my car payment or something.. i just have addiction issues and bad financial planning.. poker prob isnt the best aspiration for me but I do love the game... I wish I was still entitled to a deposit bonus or something @ fulltilt.. Id go to another site but I already used the first deposit bonus for UB/stars and tilt.. any other incentives ever pop up for additional deposits?

I was able to build up my FTP bankroll from a $25 deposit (have never reloaded) by at first playing almost exclusively $2.25 9-man STT SnGs. Knowing what I do now about BRM (that with such a low starting amount, the risk of ruin was always there no matter how weak the field, even if I didn't realize it at the time), I would in retrospect have made a larger deposit. This is especially advisable if this wouldn't be your first deposit, and you thus wouldn't have the first deposit bonus to absorb any initial downswings and rookie mistakes. That aside, I still think micro STTs are a feasible, relatively low-variance way of building you first bankroll.

You do have to be patient, though; keep grinding and grinding, and never take shots that you (or your bankroll) can't afford to take.
