Tight is right is good most of the time, specially in the early stage of MMT. If you are playing KO MMT, aggressive style could work out well when you are the big stack.

For newbies simple ABC TAG play is almost always the best. When having more experience and playing at a higher level LAG becomes very interesting, you only know when to do it and how to do it profitable, but when done right LAG becomes more profitable than TAG. There are however a lot of people who think they are LAG but are actually very bad at it, so they become a player that only wins a little bit or, like in most cases, a losing player. So stick with TAG until you become extremely good and then you can start thinking about LAG. Only a very small percentage of people are capable of pulling it off.

The definitive answer is BOTH - you will need to shift gears along the way and locking into one strategy will work counter to your purposes.

TAG = tight-aggressive
LAG = loose-aggressive

Further, tight means only playing stronger hands, but when you do play them, playing (betting) them strongly (aggressively) for maximum profit.

Loose means playing a variety of hands strongly. A successful LAG would know just how much pressure to apply to just the right player(s) at just the tight times. That's a tall order to fill in a full ring tournament with a variety of stronger hands and players who will pick up quickly on who is playing loosely, with at least some of them having the cards and the desire to challenge the LAG.

Style ,im my opinion, should depend of what players play with(their style), your stack and some other positions.I try to mix my style)))))

The tight-aggressive player generally doesn’t play many pots. They are selective and generally only play the best starting hands. Unlike the tight-passive players, a tight-aggressive player will play their cards strongly. They are patient and wait for the best opportunities to strike but they are not afraid of betting. The best tight-aggressive players are often labelled as ‘sharks’ because a tight-aggressive style is frequently effective, regardless of the game variation or betting structure. Most observant opponents will avoid clashing with a tight-aggressive player since they’ll assume that they have the best hand and will fold under the pressure.: Ангел:

U cant pick one style and play the whole tournament like that, u have to adapt to what ever the situation on your table is, if u have loose players and aggressive you play tight, if u have tight players u play agro, and also mind your stack, the lower your stack is, u play tight w8 for a good hand and go all in, u are the chip leader on your table, bully people around, apply pressure, make them make mistakes.

I agree with SBEP. Adaptability is the name of the game.

If you have strong fundamentals, then playing your opponent becomes the focal point. Cover your tracks.. don't be predictable. Seasoned players will pick up on your TAG or LAG style of play and you will be easy prey.

I love to play tight, but sometimes a small turn to aggresive makes your opponent lose track. It could make them do wrong things. Love it when that happens :p

You can't stick to one style of play all tournament Tight-Aggressive of course is poker 101. However, there are times where you need to Loose-Aggressive. The one style of play that is never deemed best is lots of passive play (occasional limping with AA, KK against super tight players works if you want to get value into a pot), maths dictate you lose more hands on the turn/river and showdown. So keep it aggressive unless trapping (which is still risky). :)

IF i had to choose ,i am something beetween tight and loose agresive style of the game. I like switching tactics,bcs
I like to be unpredictable for opponents .At the begin i start with pressure ,playing 2 or 3 hands in the row.
I want to make them think that I am agrresive fish and after that i paid off my cards. But mine tactic is much better for the live games on the iow stakes game ,there isnt a rules. sorry for this bad english,but i will try to be better every day . Good luck and enjoy in this beatifull game . :D

Styles of play can be put into 2 or 3 simple ways to play so every players can understand them, and every player plays in one or the other ways, but every player has built their own style on these foundations and a long the way every player has added things that work for them and they put aside what don't work. So by doing that everybody has what is their own style. Many players play only what they have put together and believe that is the only way to play. For me, I'm always adding or throwing away things that have stopped working.For me, most of these changes are made while I'm playing because if I only play one way all the time, believe me other players will pick up on my play and use it when I'm in a hand with them. So changes during the game confuse players who think they have me in a conner and there is not much else left to fight with. Then all of a sudden I do something they have not seen before, and then they are in that conner and may not know how to get out. All I'm really saying is that winners are always thinking how to take advanatge while they have the upper hand and intend to take all they can get. Then when they are on the shitty end of the stick, they know it and what to do about it, which is to lose as little as possible by getting away from the hand and be able to fight with another hand that is a better one. Them type players are the ones I watch and know sooner or later I'll be in a hand with them. I'm sorry so long but thats how I have been for several days. I just have a lot on my mind and I have to put it some where, and it all may seem to be a lot of bull shit that can't even be understood. GLto you
