Hello my friends poker players. My name is wsbar, I play poker at 11 months, and it is a great satisfaction to be participating in this forum where I am learning more and getting more skill. The player style I most admire is NIT, Rock, I try to evolve with this line of reasoning. I recommend to all beginners to evolve their game through the NIT style, playing poker correctly without bluffs you can minimize the variance. Would you like opinions on my choice of style or should I seek to mix my game with other styles too?

Think the rock is a good base to start from, but I think you should tailor your play to the villans. For example if you are playing against another rock who doesnt defend their blinds- then maybe try a steal or a limp stab etc.

Yeah, the nit style I see it everywhere the grinders be grinding no doubt but they can't profit like I can because they can't pull off cooler hands on their enemy subtly.

Surely TeUnit, thank you for answering my post, it was that kind of feedback I needed. Without a doubt neither will I stop stealing blinds from Rock players by applying a raise or reraise. But everything depends on the evolution of my game, I do not like to steal or try to steal without first getting some chips, I like to steal when I have enough chips to do that.

Rational Madman, thank you for answering my post, I believe that as time goes by and I study a lot and playing good tables with good players I can maximize my winnings by stealing some pots. I want to thank the forum for the opportunity to be participating in it and without any doubt with the help of all of you I will be able to evolve my game.

Being a rock is definitely a good place to start. After a bit of time you can learn to adapt/adjust your game accordingly and be other types because there will be times eventually you'll have to become other types when it becomes neccesary

Hello! and welcome to CC! Always nice to have a friendly person to talk too,,,i agree so far with most that you have a good base to start with, with adjustments you can become a winning player in no time, but i think if you are going the `nit` style, you should know the math, and their are many guys/gals who can help with that here(not me:p)Wishing you nothing but the best!:D See ya around my friend:)

Terryk, thank you very much for your advice on improving my knowledge of game math. I always study everything a little. I'm looking for a comfortable place to put this knowledge into practice. I already made some deposits at pokerstars and spent 2 weeks playing sng with $ 25.00. I'd rather make a deposit and play against opponents who respect my raise. Playing freeroll with 10,000 players makes me angry because nobody respects my raises and I end up losing with AKs.
