Don't get too hung up on that 1k amount , it is just a number you have chosen to shoot at and has no real world relevance. It can likely cloud your judgement.
Be very aware of bonuses , rakeback etc.
You mentioned losing your roll on a bluff , work on this as most of the time that big pot is being built on real hands ,not just air.
Learn not to chase your losses , when it is gone it is gone and no longer yours. The only money that is truly yours is what is in your bank and not in the middle of a pot.BRM is as critical a part of the game as any other part if you are in it for the long haul.Your loss of your whole roll on a bluff at a table you did not have the roll to play can be a lesson learned on this matter.
Patience , it took you a year to lose the money and it is not likely that some little tweak in your game is going to allow you to make it back in a month. Try FR and tighten up your game , bluffing
and fancy moves are fun and fine, but if your goal is to hit that mark a steady reliable method will likely suit you better.
