I was thinking of making this topic for a while now, hope it doesnt dies soon. I would like to see some posts about tacticts and strategy tricks you do to win.

Simply put it, whats your best move that gets you paid most of the time?

(It could be anything, like faking you are a fish so you get called when you have premium pair, like playing extremely nitty so when pot grow big can take it down with a big bet, like tracking an agressive donkey and go check check when you have a set so you induce an allin from him)

Sometimes when I have something I announced it on the chat and show my hand after. I do that in a row so to get people to believe I'm a silly fish. So when the pot grows big I just announce I have the best combination on the board like the nuts and go all in with whatever hand I have. Works pretty sweet I got to say.

There are many possibilities in poker, it would be easier for you to comment on a specific hand and ask how other players would act in your place.

The tricks I use and enjoy are the following:
1) semi bluff: when I have a flushdraw and I play as if I already had the best possible hand, with possibility to really get the best hand.
2) when I have the best possible hand for that moment and in the last position, I let the other players take the lead in the decisions and only increase in the last bet if it is not already in allin.
3) donkey bet, I take the lead at the time of betting when I realize that the villain is very aggressive and will return allin or when I can make him fold because of the texture of the flop
4) When I'm deepstack in the last position I play almost all hands, which makes it difficult for them to read me, and thus I can get combinations of hands that they will hardly predict.

I hope I have helped you, but remember that none of this is a rule, what is good for one player will not necessarily serve the other, you must adptar your game and study a lot, one day you will get closer than a good player must do in every situation.

See you at the tables.

When I'm heads up, I like to start by playing really safe. Play only good hands, fold a lot post flop if my opponent bets and I don't have anything, ang bet/call when I have something. It's usually rather quick before my opponent start to adapt his plays to that, and try to get all my blinds while folding most of the time when I bet/raise, cause he thinks I'm easy to read and I only play when I have something.

Then I completely change my style and start playing aggressively, resulting in him thinking I'm lucky and have quite a few good hands in a row, so he folds a lot more and I get his blinds. Then he adapts to the aggressive style and I go for a more mixed style.

I find this works quite well cause the two playing style are not bad, and although I usually lose some chips during the passive phase, I tend to get them back and more with the transition to the aggressive style.

While doing this, I keep in mind that he can also have good hands, and that I still need to be careful. But that's a trick I really like to do when I get all the way to heaps-up (happens mostly in Sit and Go's in my case).

I try to identify i player i think either doesn't understand position or just doesn't seem to care about position.

Once I've identified him, i try to play a pot with him with this player out of position. I'll small ball preflop & flop and then try to exert enough pressure on the turn to win the pot. If he gets aggressive i assume I've tried it at a time he's made a hand, and fold. My cards in this scenario don't really matter as I'm purely making a play an opponent, helps to have a draw or something though i guess.
