It cost me -34$ (negative cost, indeed): I opened an account on pokerroom and cleared 100 points in a few hours playing 50nl and some PL omaha H/L for a 34$ profit :D. I chose pokerroom because it seems CC is not one of its affiliate, but i have to say I really dislike their software and won't be playing there anymore now that the minimum requirements for stox are cleared.

For 1month you have to pay a registration fee. Which is about $120..so your best going for 6months which is $189. Are you a new player koadyawn? because Belgo used the best option, trying to clear the rake at a new site.

See they only give u a month to clear the rake and i think u'd have to play 50NL to hit the rake targets. Which is fine for Belgo as he's decent.

Belgo, could you clear it at 5/10NL, if u multi tabled~? And any ideas on which site is easiest to clear? I think for me, playing 25NL on a $600 BR is pushing it. I'd have to put it all on the line :D

lol i know it woudl be worth while..just watch this video by Bryce Paradis(if u haven't already). He's lost me and at 7mins when he says 'the other player hasn't got a clue" and he coudl be talking about me.

YouTube - Freedom25 200/400 Heads-up Limit Hold'em (Part 4 of 4) It's very good..when the chats about a poem he wrote on poker and then goes into the philosophy of poker ahh and needing to knwo 'why he shoudl be winning'

Pokerroom does not have micro stakes. I think the lowest they offered was 30nl.

I didn't really look for the best offer possible as all requirements seemed easy to clear at 50nl. partypoker was not an option for me as they won't accept players from france anymore, and I already got an account on Everest. And if I ever start an account on Titan, I'll probably use CC as the affiliate. So of the remaining possibilities, i didn't really compare, just took one randomly.

How much did you deposit to clear the bonus Belgo?

Deposited $400 on Saturday, cashed out $434 on Monday, but i didn't clear the bonus, just did the minimum requirements for stoxpoker. That's only 100 points, while I would need to clear 2000 to release the $250 bonus, and I dislike the site too much to spend that kind of time on it. I'll stick to pokerstars and full tilt poker for my regular games.

I actually cleared most of the bonus playing pot limit omaha H/L. You only earn points for hands in which you contributed to the pot, and that means you don't earn a lot if you play holdem TAG. Low stakes PL Omaha H/L, on the other hand, you see a lot of preflop limps and then the pots can get quite huge when nut low and nut high reraise each other, so it's perfect for bonus clearing.

Stoxpoker is such an amazing value it's not a close decision. My 12 month subscription recently expired. I'm definitely joining again, I just decided to take a small break as I was sort of getting overloaded with all the content. They put out way more content than you'll ever dream of being able to keep up with and all of it is top notch.

FWIW, Stoxpoker has by far the most diverse coaching staff of any coaching site, though they are slightly lacking in the MTT/STT department. They have a specialist for just about every possible game, including Razz and 2-7 Triple Draw. Most of their content does revolve around short-handed Limit and No Limit Hold'em, but there is plenty of FR and HU content as well. They also have coaches for about every Omaha variant, as well as 7-Stud Hi/Lo. Although most of their content is of mid-high stakes game, I heard recently they are planning to put out a ton more microstakes videos.

The Forums at Stox are second to none. All of the coaches spend at least some time in the forums, with many of them getting very involved in the HA sections. I even had Ed Miller PM me regarding a hand. Everyone there is VERY helpful and for the most part, are good people.

Through StoxPoker:

I was able to move from 10NL to 25NL and triple my win-rate. I'm also able to beat 50NL and 100NL.

I went from having almost never played Razz before to being a winner at 3/6 and 5/10 in about 3 months time.

The price for a 6 month subscription easily pays for itself 10 fold in that amount of time. I would seriously urge anyone looking to take their game to the next level to get a subscription to some sort of top tier poker coaching site.

The one problem I'd say though is it is definitely geared towards 6max play. There are a few FR videos but not even close to the quantity of the 6max videos. Now 6max concepts can definitely be applied to FR but if you play FR you have to constantly be telling yourself that ranges are tighter in FR and making the moves you see in the videos will often lose you money. On the other hand if you try to understand why the plays work, you can then modify if necessary and apply the general core concept to your FR game. Of course if you're a 6max player you just happen to not have to do that.

wow. Is there any way to get to this page through the "poker site reviews" or "poker bonuses" tabs? Because I specifically looked for it and didn't find it.
Probably a good idea. :)

Also, if you go into any forum, just above all of the threads listed is an "announcement" with this Support Cardschat.com - Links to Online Poker Sites link. But putting it the places mentioned above would be smart too.

shhhh.... me too re: razz. I play 5/10 now and couldn't be happier with the instruction for Razz there. The other instructors are quite good too. For example, the MTT instructor, Matt Matros, finished in the top 80 at the main event this year and has final tabled a WPT event in the past.

Matt also final tabled a bracelet event at the 08 wsop as well as Collin Moshman cashing in the main event I believe. And yes, Dan is an amazing instructor and he personally helped me a great deal when I was starting out in Razz. I just wish Razz was more profitable in terms of hourly. . . sighaments
