Hey, I could say that I'm new here, but not new for poker.
I would like to say how I started to play poker. (My english isn't perferct ,but I hope that u will understand what I say :) )
So at the very start of my poker playing was just playing with my friends.
We played almost every day for few $ and mostly I won, so i started to think that I could win some real money playing game what I really like.
I was still underage ( 17yo) and registered in TitanPoker with my fathers name..
So i played there few weeks in freerolls and so, after some time I already won some $..There was 1 great freeroll for beggining where was some kind of restriction but i didnt get what kind, there was 150$ prize pool and ussualy only 10-20 players. And that mtt freeroll allways was on sundays night. So i played there and almost always god in money there too (top9)..
I could say that favorite for me is MTT because of the begging of the game how I stared to play. All this first step went to that I won in one MTT 1200$ and was really happy about that, it was some kind of 5$ buy in mtt and I finished in second place.
That was the really start of my poker playing, after that i started to do more other thing that poker and slowly forgot about it.. Now when i remembered about poker there are some gambling rules, that decline online poker in my country (Latvia) but still if I already have an account and know where to dowlnoad software i can play , deposit and whitdraw money.. Only minus is that I can't open home page of pokerstars etc.
Now i'm already playing for some month or so, and can't really get it going in pokerstars, allways some crazy stuff happens when i'm close to win something. Ofcourse i have won some cents , but thats not i wanted, and I don't have any finanses to deposit and would like to get it started without deposit..
The thing I wanted to say, is that I think i'm pretty good player ,but I can't develop my skill playing in freerolls and get trolled by some monkeys who plays every hand, mostly it's hard to play in those freerolls cause they are turbo and there is 2 ways i loose -
1. get sucked out by blinds.
2. some crazy hand happens..

So i'm starting to thing what I do wrong, and how I could step it up to some real money tournaments without making deposit, I hope u can suggest me something , thanks :)

I hope you are of legal age nowadays, so welcome to the CC community. I will say try to play free rolls although Pokerstars almost eliminated them. you need to classify via Intellipoker school or the regional Tournaments like Caribbean Tournament or likewise. I do not know when full tilt poker will be terminated so perhaps is not worthwhile going there. you may try ACR or poker MIRA although they do not have many players. I hope it helps some. :)

First to play freerolls as speech, has many games that are free and that can give you extra money, usually this game come many in the field and then that gets complicated, as said is very crazy playing there, so if you have some money in your account advise you to play tournaments 0.25 with 45 players and let the turbos aside.
goes up as your bankroll grows

good lucky

I play some Freerolls...

Once... I won $75 by coming first against 2,400 opponents !

This may have been just luck ! <Nah.... Some skill required>

or ! great skill and me being brilliant !!!

... My theory... Some solid play with a very generous helping of LUCK

The only Freerolls I play now are usually the Cardchat Freerolls... These have 2 major positives...

1. The restricted entry and generous prize money relatively speaking is a nice bonus !

2. More importantly, Unlike any other Freerolls... Most of the people in CardsChat Freerolls are very very good players... It is a fantastic opportunity to play against serious intelligent poker players without even risking a Dime ! I see the same old names each week near the top of the leaderboard and I have Donked out to quite a few of them I must say... But I definitely feel playing against these great players is helping me slowly improve my game...

Mostly now i'm trying to play in pokerstars open poker school league tournaments wich are 3times in a day and gives a ticket to real money tournament, prizes isn't really big there, but at least there has a limit of 5000 players in those sattellites and they are completly free.
This week already won on monday ticket on tournament, after playing 20 minutes there happened really interesnting hand -
I had pocket JJ and played agrresive against 2 players
on flop was 5-7-7rainbow flop , now I was first to take action and i bet it 1/3 pot. Both of them still called, un turn i got nutshot and drawed J, so i get nut full house , ofcourse there is a chance for 4of kind with sevens.. As I was playing against 2 players and pot already was good, i decided to check after i got J and both of them went all in. Without mutch thinking I called it.
player A had A-J
player B had 5-5
And guess what was the last card? Yes it was 5 and I was eliminated from tournament. Thats only 1 of the crazy hand, but this hurts a lot.

Oh God No ! Aaaaarggghh

The concept of the PokerStars Skills School is a great idea ! I really wish they would try to think of a better concept as it just does not encourage people to play poker well...

Why ?

Because it is league based and the higher up the tourney you finish the more league points you attain... It's a freeroll with 10,000 entrants ! The level of skill required in surviving this many entrants to get decent points is enormous... Unfortunately, Rather than use skill, It is much easier to register then sit AFK for about 45 mins then just come back and play aggressively when you are close to blinding out... No skill... just manipulation really... If you can't advance at the end you still get reasonable points... Going out early with a great hand to a suck out will penalize you heavily... fold fold fold....
