Good afternoon here I leave a summary for those players who have time without playing and for the new players that are started today in poker.

If you've ever read instructions on Texas Hold'em, you may know that a correct selection of starting hands (cards you hold) is important. But what kind of hands should we play? knowing how to play A-A or K-K is easy, but there are a huge number of possible combinations of cards that can be dealt to us.
Here we leave a kind of guide so that they have idea with which hands to enter the boat.

AA, KK, QQ, AK, AK and AQ of the same suit
These are the hands called Premium. You should increase the bet with this type of hands, and even consider going All-in. You can play these cards from any position, and if you play on the flop, it will generally be the best hand

JJ, 10-10, AQ, KQ, AJ, K-10
These hands, whether of the same suit or not, are strong cards with which you can bet hard. However, if someone has risen before you, you should consider withdrawing from the hand.
The reason for this is that if someone has risen before you, you may have a Premium hand, or higher than yours. If someone raises the bet with AK and you pay with KQ, you're in serious trouble if a K hits the flop

Medium and low pairs, suited connectors
Other pairs and connectors of the same suit (consecutive cards of the same suit) are good cards to play if you have the opportunity to see a cheap flop (without having to bet too much). When you play with these cards, you try to flop a monster hand like a ladder or a color.
If you do not link some of this, or at least one project, it is advisable that you withdraw as soon as possible. You can get into trouble by paying with a low pair that you have connected, and possibly stay out

Other types of hands
Usually it is advisable to retire when obtaining the rest of the hands that are distributed to you. Playing all kinds of hands is usually a mistake, since most of the time you will not get what you are looking for, yet it is not good to play connected or stick cards forever, if you are an online poker rookie or live, it is better have a lot of discipline and stick to strategy.
Generally you can get into a hand from time to time with the aim that if some project does not complete you can bluff and take the boat as your opponents will have a strong and conservative image on you..

Thx :):):):):)

For sure. Never get into a hand without some kind of strategy in mind. A good list of starting hands will help you avoid getting into trouble post-flop, and maybe even win you a few hands. The real fun begins post-flop though.

A very good and detailed guide, nice to have it all in one place. Only issue I can see with it for new starters is the definition of medium/low pairs

so play your game very visible! it is better to vary your game according to the table and your opponents, if you get too solid the blinds will reach you sooner or later! you have to open the range! you can not take this concept to the letter!

These are good for beginners, but i will warn you the better you get at poker, the less charts like these matter and youll have to use your own intuition

Like the thread with some pretty good reminders and explanations for newbies.
I am starting to like cowboys less and less though. Seems to be my Kryptonite.

In fact - starting hands in tournaments, especially in the early stages do not matter to me, I play a long time and tried different tactics, the most effective was that up to level 6 with blinds 50/100 I come with all hands and always find myself in a bigger plus, and then I play only on an aggressive title ... this tactic has been of use to me for a long time and always brings a positive result !!!

That is exactly what I was thinking. A wider range is certainly what it takes to win in today's environment.

Thanks for reminding us basics, nice info for new players to learn smth new and for seniors to refresh already learned. However there isn't one only tactic to open your hand or card range to enter a hand, you may tell that Q5off is rubbish in early stages of the tourney, but during heads up you'll even raise with such hand. Of course playing long tables you should follow listed above suggestions, although never forget about flexibility;)

This is the chart for those who only mastered the rules. In and Hyper turbo tournaments the blinds will eat your stack, if you stick to this NIT strategy. Throw away T-T in response to any aggression is a bad idea.

I agree with what you are saying but want to try to keep the point of the post in context. We are in the "Learning Poker" section so we likely have an audience that needs a basic approach to the game.

for those that are beyond that, I think what is outlined is a very good way to approach a table containing opponents you are unfamiliar with. Sticking to that strategy should help keep you from getting into too much trouble as you learn the dynamics of the table. I agree though that you need to use that time to find the opportunities to take advantage of and loosen up when appropriate, and also learn which players you want to try to avoid.
