Well, some people disagree with me, but if its live and youre just starting... the lowest limit is 1/2 NL live - So in theory if you dont have a bankroll, you just take shots and buy in to start. Grind 1/2 until you can get 500 hours and analyze if you're winning. Keep playing and try to hit 1000 hours live. If you're still winning and you're roll has built up to 10k, I would say try 2/5

Grind freerolls on multiple sites, apply for the freeroll club here when you get up to 75 quality post and you can play in may high value freerolls. Once you have built up a decent roll from this you can then begin to play micro mtts or 1c/2c cash game tables.

The best way to build a bank roll is to get a job, preferably a good one, and roll yourself that way. That way, you can play free and clear and dont have to worry about going broke.

I originally built a bankroll through freerolls. It took ages, and right when I was moving up to stakes where I could make real money the government shutdown Stars, Full Tilt, and Absolute, which set me back.

If I was starting out, now, I would just make a deposit. Put $50 or $100 online and then play the micros and build it up from there. Actually, I did take my own advice when I moved to ACR. I just went ahead and made a deposit, instead of grinding their freerolls.

It's not that you can't play them, but boot-strapping yourself from freerolls is not an easy task.

This is a good suggestion. I am doing this and i actually win some money to start with.
The problem is the second question, how to not go broke.

You must keep grinding freerolls until you have atleast 50-60 buy in's for the lowest stakes you are wanting to play. Once you have a roll for micro sng's or mtts or 1c/2c cash, then step up to buy in stuff. you drop your roll down to below 15 buy ins step back to freerolls and continue working on your poker game.

Here's my thoughts on the matter:

https://www.cardschat.com/forum/learning-poker-57/building-a-baby-bankroll-181238/

Well, some people disagree with me, but if its live and youre just starting... the lowest limit is 1/2 NL live - So in theory if you dont have a bankroll, you just take shots and buy in to start.

Yeah pretty much this - it's also my thoughts for online if you don't technically have a big enough bankroll for the lowest levels.

Unless you're so new to the game that you think you need to spend more time studying to have a shot at being profitable even at the lowest stakes - then maybe getting in some more practice at freerolls is a good idea.

But otherwise, if you've got a small amount but less than BRM dictates you should have (eg: ideally you'd like AT LEAST $60, and more like $100-$200 to be rolled for $2NL), just get in there at the lowest possible levels, play your very best and hope you run good.

I played on sites that offered freerolls and built up a BR on 4 different sites - the biggest is on ignition(formerly Bovada). I also have BRs on Juicy, intertops, ACR, and Blackchip from freerolls. Takes a while but worth it.

If you are experienced player and you know how to play, best on the pokerstars for micro are:
1. Cardschat freerolls
2. Pokerstars league
3. $0.25 SnGs
4. Lowest stakes fixed limit full ring games

That's my opinion... ;)

first you need discipline second you need to follow rules you make up. Third would help if had ideal of your history as a player and your bankroll you plan on starting with. Then you need to decide what playing mtt or ring and why etc.. Too many questions here to get many good answers.

If you add to your plan here maybe you can be helped more
