Hello Cardschat,

First post ever. I am a 24 year old looking to start improving at poker. I have heard of expected value, watched videos, and even read a stareter guide about it but I still can't wrap my head around it.

How do you factor in the profit->odds ratio into your gameplay? I have heard of players going entirely off of expected value. I guess this is similar to RoI in business?

If there was some kind of exercise list that I could review step-by-step, or if a poster was willing to sit and continually answer my endless follow-up questions.. I would really aprpeciate it.
