Must wait before your extra time bar started. Then you have to fold when you have big stack. When you have small stack, this time strategy doesn't work :/

The tournament is played a lot of people, even if you are on a good level of the game, you will win a minimum prize 1 time in 10 games! Dispersion will take away a lot, if you can play Regular!

spending time

I don't understand why the smaller stacks do it and I understand why the big stacks do it. so I hate it when im samall stack and more patient to wait when I got a good to great stack. I have gotten people to stop doing it over the chat by talking to them respectfully and knowledging them in their pointless act. most the time its the lager stacks that ignore me and some ppl talk back so Ive had it out with a fair share to, lol. hell there wasting time their way I will waste their time my way right!! That is a suggestion to try and get the tourny moving. because u can jump to other table in the lobby and chat to those players too. hope this helps

I think it does matter.

If you are a short stack, until its hand for hand near the bubble, you may not want to go through the blinds. It certainly can help you cash.

On the flip side of that, if I'm a big stack and we are in a turbo, if a game is slow, there is a good chance that the blinds can go up 2x to 3x an orbit putting pressure on the middle - small stacks.

Usually the first example is people that have made strategic errors. I have not employed the first strategy because I stay ahead of the blinds or bust out, but I do understand.

I have used the second strategy and think it is very effective. In a 5 min blind or less tournament it is just another way to put pressure on people. The slower the game the less hands you have to pick from, but the blinds keep growing, pretty simple logic.

I can understand short stacks hanging on if they are close to the bubble hoping to survive to be able to cash, not the best of strategy but in some cases understandable, I do not see why big stack have utilize all their time unless it is a tactic to put pressure on other players

Yes, I think too. They want to get angry other players so they will go all in. Lucky that all good players of poker are patient :D

this is why Holz was playing like a eczema sloth during tournaments. It applies pressures on opponents.

I used to do it , now not like in the past , I try to play like before and delay only on blinds most of the time, cause some people tends to think you're a weak player , you delay cause you you cannot play , and that's why you do it , especially if you have a small to medium stack ,and I mean post-bubble .

I think there can be many reasons why people tank
  • the bubble
  • to get someone out of a qualifier
  • big pay jumps
  • for points in a ranking
  • to annoy people
I must admit I do it when it come to my advantage, especially when I'm short stacked. The only time I sometimes do it with a bigger stack, is in qualifiers. When the short stack will be blinded out, 'cause of the time and therefore blind jump, I might do it once in a while

They could be playing multiple tables or doing something else at the same time while playing poker and it could also be a good strategy when you are close to the bubble or the pay jump to use your timebank.

its something like strategy to survive first rounds u know. its good strategy but not for long time. When blinds will be higher they will lose their chips so after like 30 min MAX u have to start play seriously becuase u will be behind so far

varia muito de acordo com o stack e a quantidade de jogadores que estão no torneio. Se estiver perto da bolha e bem interessante usar o tempo a seu favor

I see the logic behind tanking the clock to make the money, but most times it just backfires. You're telling the table you're desperate to make the money so the big stacks will raise your blind every time, knowing that you'll fold. The bubble is the best time to steal blinds as a lot of players tighten up. What really grinds my gears is when players tank when play to play is in affect.

Usually are desperate to stay in the money. They are usually players with very few chips.
