to reraise an allin when you have already acted there would have had to be a raise after your action that was at least double your raise amount (ie. you raise ten and they shove ten more on top of that it reopens the action so you can reraise if there are others still in the hand as well)

in the hand you posted you raised 0.12$, the allin was only 0.10$ more than your initial raise and therefore your only option is to call or fold, if he had raised it to 0.24$ and therefore 0.12c more than your initial 0.12$ then you could have reraised.

Clear as mud right.

i thought it would of had something to do with his raise size because i've had scenarios similar where i'd been able to re-raise, thanks a lot bluff that's cleared that one up :)

Its the rule.

There are cash games where it only permit 3 raises in any round of betting.

Example above, at preflop, 3 raises are capped. So hero and player3 can only do is just to call.

Isn't the whole point of this thread to ask why he is unable to do that?
This happened PF. He had the chance to get it in, and called a dime instead.

Player5 raises [$0.22 USD]
Player8 folds
Hero calls [$0.10 USD]

That was the point of his post, he was held to calling the dime or folding.....he had raised 12cents, the shove was only 10cents more and therefore the action was closed and did not allow him to reraise.

I'm thinking the problem is here where the double bet wasn't met by player 5's .22 raise. Which needed to be .32 to be a legal raise. All this happened way after the opportunity I pointed out.

Hero raises [$0.16 USD]
Player2 folds
Player3 calls [$0.14 USD]
Player5 raises [$0.22 USD]
Player8 folds
Hero calls [$0.10 USD]
Player3 calls [$0.10 USD]

The legal raise, "legal" meaning that it would reopen action to initial raiser, would have needed to be .24 instead of the .22 as previous raise was .12, but the shove was only a raise of .10 and not double the raise like you mention.

Hero reraised the initial minraise to 3x the raise (so a standard 3-bet), so your suggesting he should have shoved/raised larger at this point? because once action gets back to him he is no longer able to reraise due to the shove not reopening the action to him.

I dunno, am I missing something?
