SNG's or MTT's

how profitable are SNGs? it's better to start with SNGs or MTTs?
I tried both but I could not make a big difference.

Yeah, if you're just starting out I would suggest SNGs. Depending on what site you play, you should look at the Double or Nothing SNGs. Good way to start building your bankroll.

Then, as you progress and feel more comfortable you can start playing MTTs.

Try multi-table SNGs for the best of both worlds. Games on demand, lower variance than large field mtts, don't have to set aside 8 hours to play.

yeah i recommand you 6-max sitandgo 3doubleup, sure multi tabling 4max, later i advise biger buyins sng or cash game, mtt are wasting of time, ecxept ur not ready and able to play 13h of winning poker, but yeah prices are awesome.

Play freerolls but play them good, not just for playing sakes pushing every two cards hope to get lucky, after couple of deep runs ull find out just how hard is to play MTT and make a FT, so when u sit after that on an SNG in your brain it will feel like a really small tournament, and ull crush it that was how i got started with SNG`s but after like i said, made couple of FT on MTT`s, coz the SNG`s are simulating very much the MTT`s, SNG is mini MTT

so agree with this I play those mtt for years and everytime get up to 50bb stack just something lil mistake,or works out in villians favour ,it goes against you..its like a gut punch...after awhile it was more and more devasting... its like i'm always at the same scenerio 25-30bb middling to playing ss poker (13hrs) for my buyin plus .75c.I just had it told myself online mtt just aint for me.

The SNG is the best way for those who want to start in poker, has several affordable ins buy for all kinds of bankroll, regular structures, turbos and hyper-turbos, has even with a knockout, the award is not like the MTTs, because the number of people to be limited, but will be easier to get the ITM and the final table.

Play such games, where you are best (but control your bankro-management!).
in month or two you will see, what kind of games are profitable for. Good luck to you

All are good sng and mtt great games!

All the people say that the sng is best but i suggest you to play what do you like more and then the profit will come.

Play mtt and sng ,if u play just mtt u need to catch final table always to deserve for time u spended on tournament.If u just ITM u got byin +some small money .So play both

Sng has lesser variances but your need to play in volumes.

MTT need more time and give much bigger profits and SNG are faster and give lower profits.

If you are a really good player SNG's are profitable for you. But it is like the introduction of MTT's

I am new myself, but found that SnG and MTT of no more than 3 tables are best for my style of play. The big tourneys seem to attract a lot of LAGs and aggros. I have a very hard time with those types.

I could be wrong but the SnG's and Small tourneys seem to attract more TAG's and NIT's as a percentage of players.

I think the variance is larger in MTT tournaments , so you would need a larger bankroll , additionally should never play a tournament that exceed 5 % of your bankroll. while S & G the odds of winning are higher so the prizes are not so high .

SnG are better, there isnt any late registration, and players are much more tight that MTT

the sng has a buy in smaller and smaller profit .. but you are closer to victory kkkk then opt for something that the probability of winning is greater ...

SnG are best for biggners .. fix player.. no long journey..

I like SNG

Definitly SNG, 'cause you are a some kind of a begginer.
Much less variance then in MTTs, thats the most important thing for you that should help you choose.

I much prefer STT because I have a smallish bank roll so I like the lower variance. Nothing wrong with either, depends on your personal preference
