I used to overplay small pairs a lot. Now I raise with them in late position (to steal blinds mostly, but also to setmine, if I happen to get called), but I won't be calling raises anymore. I will just fold.

I think you should only call a bet with a small pair if it is less than 5% of your stack and if you opponent has at least 20 times the bet in their stack so you can potentially get paid off well if you hit your set.

If you ask me 67, 78, or 56 is better then 55, 44, 33, 22;

I don't like to play small pairs, i don't simpatize. Deffinatly i do not raise preflop.

I only play those cards when im big blind and check or small and just pay the big blind.

there is small chance to hit set. and if you still hit set. on board, 3 A K (for example) are you safe? .. im not.

With small pocket pairs, I try to enter the game limp. In general, my strategy for playing with a small pocket pair is very simple: if I got a set on the flop, I will continue the game, if the set does not come out on the flop, I fold.

I play as you. limp or call on preflop, but no more than 5 bb and then fold or play if I have three of kind.

Deep stack I’ll call a raise, especially in late position. Limp sometimes. If CO or button, easy raise here as your range is pretty wide and a set would be well hidden, plus you can bluff a lot of flops.

I throw out small pairs with a big raise. But it still depends on the size of my stack. Sometimes when I'm three cards, I do not raise and hide my superiority.

I play in small pairs only when there is a small bet, when players raise and reraise I do not play and discard small pairs, but very rarely when I have a big stack I sometimes can play on a small pair but this is a very very rare case!

Lol, my issue is with high pairs. Mid pairs are perfect for me.. low pairs are .. low. I think I lost 20% of my bankroll on 888 with QQ. :) That's with a Q on flop too.

It depends on my stack. But usually I raise if I'm first or call if I'm not first. ;)

I agree. I only play small pairs in late positions and having a knoledge of how opened UTG, MP, and raising x3 BB preflop. if someone calls i evaluate flop. if someone 3bet, i probably fold. If you hit the flop then you have to bet for value but be careful of a wet flop could bring you a lot of troubles.

Sorry for my English

I try not to go if I have small pairs. Because there are big chances to lose. If there are big bets, I try to fold.

Well, just went out when my all-in pre-flop KK could not hold up to a persons ducks. Two ducks were in his hand and two ducks came on the flop.
