In no limit Hold 'em the small blind is half the amount of the minimum bet, so if you want to call you only need to put in the other half. In an unraised pot you can play all the late position hands and also any Ace or King, two suited cards and unsuited connectors. This does not mean that you play utterly hopeless hands, 7 2 off is still rubbish.

I Agree!

Statistically SBs tend to call the BB rather than someone out of position. Always depending on your stack you can think about playing non-strong hands and deciding after the Flop where you are and what the others do. That makes it harder in comparison to someone who only plays relatively strong hands because someone who's just looking for the flop is still in position to make a lucky shot...

Statistically 72o is rubbish but sometimes it makes real fun to play 72 :D
