Care to elaborate on small ball?

its what I play along with pros like Daniel Negreanu. Its not that advanced of a strategy like the OP insists. I will find a meaning for you.

these videos pretty much explain everything, got them from some other forum by just googling small ball poker.

nice videos storm. As u said, its not as advanced as they make it sound and I think a lot of players here would benefit from watching these. If you are just starting out and think that you have solid preflop abilities, this would be the next step in my mind.

The videos are great, when i tried a simular strategy previously people constantly re-raised me, maybe i was playing to many pots, guess you got to get a good fine balance to trick your opponents into thinking what you want. After watching these i think i can give it another go and see how it works out for me.

Nice post, I will be rewatching these for a while. I find that as I progress my level of play, I can implement more tips.
I also do this with poker books I read, at first some is too advanced. After using some tips I can reread and use more.

I saw these videos and started playing small ball about 2 months enough about how much my game has improved. The small bal style fit me to a tee and was the easiest adjustment I have ever made to my game.

I actually bought Daniels new book last week and am almost done reading it. I'm not much into tourneys anymore so I thought it would be kinda meh.. It is actually one of the best poker books I have read. It goes into a lot of concepts that really are not talked about much in other books. Theres like a whole section on bluffing, turn and river play, and most of the examples are deepstacked situations, that you can apply to cash games. Definately worth checking out imo.

Videos

I've never watched a single video for training. Am I hurting my game?

Am i the only one who found these videos embarassing? Not the material, but the way it was presented. That match at the end was cringeworthy.

Daniel N. is not one of my favorite players. However, as most of the pro say, it is better to win a small pot than lose a big one. Chris Ferguson, uses the saying, "only play monster pots when you have a montster hand" or something like that.

I like the videos, and have used this strategy before, however I dont think this would work in cash games, especially in 1/2 or ever 2/5 for that matter. Anyone else agree?

Thanks for the videos, they maybe helpful have to try implementing. I do agree with the cringe factor a bit. It's very staged. This guy "Cole" seems to be on the verge of being a pro but comes off as sharp as a bag of wet mice and as interesting as paint drying.

Very interesting videos. Might try it and see how it goes.
I agree its a way of fine-tuning when you get reraised all the time. Good way of building your stack and protecting it, but I don`t think it will work for everybody.

Interesting video's but I have a couple of questions.
a) when you use small ball in a tourney when do you play like this(first stage, middle or late)?
b)you have to bet your strong hands the same as weak hands,so you play AQ the same as 75s, but do you also have to do this with KK or AA ?

Negreanu is one of my favorite players.
The strategy he shows in that video is quite usefull
Just for me because it shows a way to play that is quite different from the way i use to play that is very tight !
so i guees i have much to learn from this
thanks

What a great set of videos, I hope that I can learn to pull this off....BUT, what happens when you run into the same type of player?

By the way...the guys mouth issue...I believe is Bells Palsy.
