Slowly but surely I must be heading in the right direction.

Of late I have had some small cashes. And some very deep runs in large mtts. I am not diisapointed in my efforts for not cashing and bubbling. What I am impressed with is how few hands I have played to run so deep. And when I review my stats the few hands that I play mostly top sided to wins. I have learned that less is more and not to tug on supermans cape. In other words don't fight chipleaders and and if you gonna play a hand be prepared to go all in or fold if ya miss flop. I don't shove any more just call or decent raises to let em know im there to stay. bbbucs

Congrats on the cashes and finding some form in the large mtts

if the strategy is working keep at it usually if i run deep in a mtt i tend to only play 20% of the hands

The thing that really says you are heading in the right direction is not your success and cashes, but the fact you can define WHY. Keep it up!!!

Slow and steady.

I have also picked my games more carefully now. Having a fairly small br to work with. I look for games that have better value for my buc. ie small sattys late reg and few players good payouts. Bounty's and or ko games that help offset buyin losses or increase winnings.

Good Strategy in large MTT's. I try to do the same, but it takes discipline. If often not patient enough.

To add to this strategy: 1. I play numerous good drawing hands at the first 1, 2 or even 3 levels. I run the risk of investing too many chips early, but can usually hit a big hand(s) to make it worthwhile.

Also, I think it is mandatory to gradually and continually increase your range, steal blinds and bluff in later levels. More risky, but necessary to make the final table.

There are a several great MTT threads in the CC Strategy Articles. I would encourage you to read them.
