Read and interesting article in bluffmagazine a couple of days ago. Mike Caro said to decide before the cards are dealt if you need to slow down or be more aggressive. If you need to slowdown:
If you have a marginal decision between raising or calling then call
If you have a marginal decision between calling or folding then fold

More Aggressive:
If you have a marginal decision between raising or calling then raise
If you have a marginal decision between calling or folding then fold

These decisions can be changed under certain circumstances but as a general rule, you are deciding before you see the cards how you are going to play them. What are some opinions on this strategy?

I'm not sure I quite understand, what are you talking about ? Was he talking about playing against a specific player, trying to modify your table image, adjusting to stack sizes in a tournie ?

me need more info ...

Solid advice if it is directly connected to reading the table. Other night I got on a very tight table cash game at the casino. I am very tight so once I got a read on the table I needed to swing more agressive - decision had nothing to do with the cards I was going to be dealt.

I think it makes sense. It allows you to make an objective decision about how you are going to play based on the people at the table. If you wait until you see your cards to decide whether or not you are going to play it aggressive then you are letting the cards dictate your decision instead of the players at the table.

in the run up for getting your whole cards you decide how would you play your hand. if it´s a hand you would call or fold fold it and so on if you are slow down on your aggression and the rest is clear i would say.

I could see that being a reasonable tactic. But like some others said, it's going to have to be strongly based on some other factors including table reads and so forth.
