Show the winning hand?
There are three possibilities:
1 - Do not show. The easiest possibility, because no one will know your strategy.
2 - Show, but to confuse your opponents.
3 - Show, showing that you do not bluff, but this is the most complicated because it can show how you play.

What do you think?

It depends..
Completely depends on the players style, some people we want to educe a call and show them the bluffs, other players we want to show them the nuts so when we are in a hand past the flop they know to get out of the way.

It's completely positional and circumstantial, if your not sure on what to do then just much your hand and don't show. As they can't gain any info and are left guessing.

Don't show if you don't need to.
Show if it's the only way to award you the pot.

I agree with bee gees and philthy. Showing your cards gives away your strategy. It would be interesting to hear the opinions of those who show their cards, as to why they show their cards, in what situations, and how it has helped them. Whenever I am facing an opponent who frequently shows their cards, I am usually elated, because they are giving me valuable insight into their hand ranges and betting patterns.

A funny thing that I notice people doing a lot is showing their cards after getting a walk. I really don't understand why people do this. It's also funny when people reveal their hand to show that they bluffed, when they actually had me beat.

Show, especially the bluffs, to frustrate your opponents and play badly in later hands.

If you show something should be gained by you for doing so. Showing a bluff will induce more callers whereas showing the nuts or premium holdings may plant the seed of tag. Use the show feature to shape the image you want others to have of you. Next level thought yo.

First one.

You must not reveal your starting hands and make them guess your hand ranges.

For second and third, other opponents know what you are doing and they will try to time and exploit your play by reversing things.

If villain shows strong hand in the end, it means for me that he often bluffs. And by this he wants to convince others that he plays regularly, by cards. In opposite case he may have a monster next time if you think he bluffs again.

I show occassionally when I have a good hand but only so I can bluff later. My range is so wide, any two mostly, so showing usually doesn't hurt me in my opinion.

I like to show occasionally you had the nuts and I like to show to show the occasional bluff for the 2nd reason, to confuse.

If you aren't sure about what you're doing, it's just better and safer to have auto-muck on

It depends on the table and your tactics,i'd prefere to do 1 or 3. If you are bluffing to much, then you need to show good cards,if you prefer not to bluff, then you need to show bluff hand etc. The main reason of that moves - to force your opponents to make more and more mistakes :)

I do not like because it reveals his range of hands. More known players who use it to induce the opponent to show his getting free information

Never show your cards. I would recommend having Auto Muck on so you are not tempted to and it won't give you the option to.

Showing, regardless of your reasons, gives away info

I am happy for people to show their winning hands... it's more helpful to me than to them

What gets me is people who fold hands then show one card... Usually an Ace... What's that all about ?? I usually slap a fish label on those...

Haha, yeah I run into them too.

They usually muck the 6 and show the Ace...
