Hi Guys,

Yesterday I had two spots in KO Tournament where I was unsure what I'm doing.

1. Situation: Hero SB vs BB. I Had 12BB and 84s and my opponent 10BB and a nice Bounty.
What is your shoving range here, and was is +Ev?

2. Situation: I had 1010 in HJ and 38BB. UTG with nice Bounty shoving 11BB and MP with 52BB shoving too.
What is here you calling Range?

situation 1 - 84s is not a all in hand in my opinion

situation 2 - the MP guy want to steal the opportunity for other players to enter in the pot, not the best option if you're a conservative player but in the action with no time to think you can call this shoving

this about range is complicate, because players can interpret in various ways and it is complicated to explain every detail in every situation

People Play really really LAG in those tournaments, so don't Play too tight if you want to build a stack early on.

1.) you can shove +EV really wide here but only for stealing the blinds. Any PP, Any A, Any K, Any Q, Any suited J, 43s+ and a lot more.
He might defend his Bounty really tight, so I think you could shove any 2 +EV
2.) in a regular MTT I might fold TT with such Deep stacks, but depending on MP stats. in a KO it should be an easy call unless MP is a nit. I saw People isolating here with any A or any PP just for the Bounty.
So I would call here 99+AJ+
also depending on MP stats

edit: what is you Definition of 'sweet bounty'? more than the buy-in?

SB vs BB was a $5,50 Buy in and his Bounty 4,62$

The 1010 Hand was a 11$ Buy In and the Bounty 13,76$

The Pocket 1010 Hand i had no information about the Player. I had a Table change.

Thanks for the answers guys :) I´m not a specialist in these Bounty Tournaments yet, and i hope it helps me for the future KO.

Hope I could run those hands in an application with the KO dynamics involved, especially the second one, but unfortunately I don't have one. I struggle with those spots too.

1. I surely open shove 84s here BvB , you had him covered , you are flipping for a bounty and for the potential increase of your stack by 10bbs effective!

2. Hmm tough spot , the only thing which makes me reconsider a call here is that we are covered from the MP player and we have yet to act 4 players in the CO,BTN,SB,BB! 38bbs are deep for me, I fold. But I agree here with Veritas , people go crazy with garbage with just a bounty.
I would have isolated without the MP 3 bettor with TT vs the UTG open jam.

ps. In the second case were you ITM?If we are already ITM and we were already freerolling the MTT maybe I could find a lighter call here.

There were 58 Players left ( 32 ITM ) and i was at 19 Position. I had fold this hand Finally.

The 84s Hand i have shoved because suited and lost vs A10o. But i think it´s fine and i had live cards at least.

So there was still much game left.Yes I would have folded too, for sure.I try to take more risks after being ITM because as I mentioned above I already freeroll the tournament and try reaching the FT.

Good luck to the next ones :)

Thank you also mate. :)

yeah, i also take more risk then before. I was often to passive, especially in SB or BB situations when the HJ or CU open raist. But in this Game there are always very hard spots to master. We can only try our best. :D
