Hi everyone,
In the late stages of sit and gos and on final tables in tournaments I have lost count of the amount of times I have shoved with hands like A4-A8 and been called being completely dominated by better aces.
This genuinely happens very frequently because in the late stages people will call with most aces. My question is then to avoid being dominated in the event that I do get called would it be more profitable to raise with hands that if called are less likely to be completely dominated like suited connectors or even hands like 9 10 off?
Now obviously aces 10+ are pretty much standard shoves but are weaker aces less profitable than lower cards in the event I get called? Thanks

You question is to vague to answer.

Firstly; suited connectors are a fine hand to jam when short, IF the circumstances allow for it.

For example; on a loose table; if you're first to act then shoving 10BB with 9,T off isn't going to be profitble. However; if you jam in the button with T9; with same stack sizes that's is going to yield a better return.

If you post some hands and some info on vilians where they have called; I'm sure we can give you some advice on whether or not they are good jams.

Secondly; weak aces are fine if position is right and you haven't said what you stack size is or other players; these are huge factors when shoving wide and people calling ranges widen. Again though; need some more info :)

just dont become to loose if your opponents are not too tight. Small aces should only be played in position, AJ+ you can also play not being in position.

Connectors are always hard to decide on, being short shove vor 9t+ from the button. Have suited cards regard you should have at least a A a K or Q not running into another flush.

But just get some hands into the threads so we can discuss more detailed
