Sorry the hand converter that I use is down currently so thats the reason I've posted as is. Still having trouble, and I'm sure I will for a while, building pots. Should I have checked the turn here? I had really nothing on villain. Had only just sat down and played maybe 4 or 5 hands. I had seen him call flop, turn then fold the river once but that doesn't give me anything really

Actually now that I look at it again I should have called the flop to keep both villains in right?

Damn it...

yes, i think you should check on the turn and then bet on the river. you have a very strong hand possible the best, and you wanna extract some value from it. its very probable that villain has the 10, so if no 10 cames on the river you can win a good pot by betting on the river. also a jack, queen, king or ace is good for you because it could give villain 2 pairs or top pair with a good kicker so you want to trap them hiding the value of your hand.

not this.

when you have a strong hand you should bet. the only way to get more money in the pot is to bet.

dont trap people, you are losing value at low stakes games.

please, please, please, just bet.

So this was good? I was going to check the turn on this one but thought to build instead.

better.

consider this: if he has nothing on the turn he is not likely have anything on the river. so you are not going to get many calls from the garbage missed hands.

if he has a strong enough hand to call on the river then you probably should have bet the turn and you missed some value from a likely call.

betting is better.

^Basically this^ At this level, you should KISS unless you have pretty strong reasons to do otherwise.
