hi all

i didnt find anything like this so if this is a double post im sorry...just errase this one and tell were is the other one.

i prefer to play tournament games and some hyper turbo games.
i was almost at the money spots in a hyper turbo game when i whent all-in with poket aces and some russian guy with similar stack calld with 6 and 5 off suit.
some how he flooped quads and i lost.

i know the dynamics are diferent in a turbo game but still this made me dout my way of playing turbo games.

shold i just shove any two cards and hope to get there or maintain my style and pray to the poker gods to make it work?

ps: i also have the feeling that in pokerstars if you go all-in first you get more lucky...does that really work?

Poker is a game of insane variance. Honestly it is very hard to grasp the concept of this when you first start playing. After your Aces have been cracked a few thousand times you begin to realise it generally does not depend on the site or the poker gods or your emotional state.

It is just poker. Unfortunately playing well guarantees more bad beats. Should you stop playing well in order to reduce the number of bad beats? Probably not, as you'll lose more often, but maybe your subconscious feels this way which could be why tilt happens. It is a common, natural, human reaction.

Quite frankly, I'd recommend playing with play money for a bit if you want to test whether going all-in first makes any difference. I feel like if I blatantly say "no, it doesn't", part of your psyche still won't believe me.
