In the last 2 days I've lost about 5 sngs (which isn't substantial, but I really don't get to play that frequently since semester started back and since I'm still learning, my bankroll is quite small) for the sole reason of loosing connection to full tilt. My internet connection is fine, I'm surfing the web without a hitch, and with like 3 people remaining and blinds HUGE, it takes me like 5 minutes to reconnect. And if I haven't lost already from being blinded out, I'm usually all in within 3 hands. I have never been so pissed off at a computer in my life. I had a raise into me as the BB with AA and never responded. These were all easy sngs that I should have won from, and lost. This honestly has tilted me more than any actual poker, and forces me to quit for a while, because I'll play differently for fear of being disconnected. It's retarded.
K, /rant.

Does this happen to most people, or is my connection just retarded? It's only ever happened to me a couple times in my few months of playing and it's always came back quickly. Am I to expect this every so often?

It does not happen to me too often, I can actually probably count on one hand the number of times I have had connection problems with full tilt in the couple of years I have been playing there, but when I did have them they were consistant.
Meaning that say the 4-5 times I had the problems, they were an all day issue.

I think it might be a temporary glitch they're having - a few days ago more than half the table was getting disconnected at once. Up to 5 minutes was added to their time banks by the system admins though and most reconnected within that time.

Good to know it's probably a full tilt error, and I can now better direct my anger.

I used to get DC'd and I could never figure it out and it would always seem to happen when I hit the nuts and such, you know the old Murphies law. Stopped listening to loud music on my headphones and I started to notice that it happened nearly always when the phone rang. Turns out my aunty had forgotten to replace the micro-filters when she bought a phone for our christmas presents. I was ape shit for a while.

I was like "Aunty you turnip you gone done pissed up my trouser leg"

Check it isnt your aunty, theyre notiorious BR busters.

That happens to me a lot on FullTilt, maybe 10 times as often as on other poker sites ... wish I knew why too. I'd stop playing FT altogether if certain tournaments were not held there. Wally :)

This. Best solution would be to call your ISP technicians, it's horrible to play when you know you can get disconnected anytime ;)

I have the exact same problem at Full Tilt. Seem to get disconnected right when I am involved in a hand, and it takes forever to reconnect. End up losing that big pot and blinded down at least 2 or 3 BB.

My connection to fulltilt is the same way. I have two computers, the new one always has good connection but the one that is a few years old has a much slower connection and frequently i lose connection.

OK, so I'm playing a couple 45 man sngs, and everytime I switch tables Full Tilt freezes and I have to restart it. Now the last time it did this I can't open full tilt and it not be frozen? Any quick fixes, I'd really like to not lose at the final tables because of this.
