self-control
Self responds to the rational capacity of a human being who is able to reflect on their desires and actions with arguments. In the absence of self, a person is guided by pure momentum and soon after, he regrets having done a certain way because when a person acts under the influence of anger does not have an objective view of reality.
In the Poker when self is lost that has been called tilt, the status of a player so emotionally influenced his game is altered becoming much more open (playing a wider range of hands), aggressive (even sometimes violent), illogical and irrational.
We can reach that state due to:
- Provocations of other players in the chat.
- Losing hands against players that are considered bad.
- Losing hands you are winning but ended up losing
- Enter losing streak hands that you think that we can not win any hand.
- You can also play branded emotionally when it enters a state of euphoria when you are on a run of favorable hands and win big jackpots.
As control we must first know why we entered tilt: Being tired, playing reluctantly, external problems, being susceptible to comments in the chat, be aware that if someone wins a hand we seek justice lag behind on these hands, thinking often to bluff or cheat us more often than usual, have no patience, must rage easily think that we have very bad luck
The only way to combat this state of tilt all the self-control is one of the following councils: stop playing and go back to being reassured knowing that you have other gaming sessions, be focused on the game and if you are on tilt You can not get it which you should do something else as reviewing hands, read articles.
When you learn to know yourself and you can predict your behavior can be said to have the maturity to change things you do not like, self-knowledge self-control aid itself.
Well I hope you enjoyed it and learned something there again because these issues are long.

Above all things you have to learn to have self control talking about poker to play it, when you leave the boxes and lose control is when it is more dispensable to lose hands, play badly bet badly, self control is the best management For the game, very good reflection very interesting thanks

It is always important to keep yourself in hand. If you do not adhere to this - can bad to finish.

Self control whether on tilt or not should always be there with you.
You might be winning big a few hands back then comes a really nice hands of AK AA or KK then you get carried away and go reckless with it then comes a big bad beat. Before you know it you got crippled big time.
Never lose focus because there is never a good hand until you got the nuts.

Being new and old to poker I go on tilt often. I have no results to speak of due to that, but I am very aware of my temper... something usually breaks - first sign of clear and present danger, he he. But, on the other hand, learning control is a big thing in many regards to life as well. I'm a tutor by trade so I have some control not to murder little kids for lack of homework being done, but I haven't been able to quite apply it to poker yet. Probably due to my newbie state, whether I won something or not, I will be a newbie for quite a while.

On guitar I have over 20 000 hours behind me, maybe more, its been over 20 years now. Poker, the other beast, might only be 100 or so... To me I'll be learning for quite a while still. Its very good points you brought up and thanks for that

I often have problem with self control when I am on table with bluffers. It is ok to bluff, but going all in all the time and dont let other players see a flop, that makes me angry and it is not good. Then I lose control and lose money. For me is very usefull this kind of advice :)
