re: Poker & the same fault again and again :-(((
for more helpful answers please include the following:
1. Type of game - tournament or cash
2. stakes - tournament buy-in or cash game blinds
3. Action for entire hand - did you raise, did opponent reraise, etc...from preflop to river
4. have you ever seen this player play before, what type of information do you have on them, tight, aggressive, loose, maniac, shark, ect...
without this information it is impossible to tell if you did something wrong. ak vs kk happens, and usually someone gets hammered and loses a lot DO NOT listen to the comment above that you have to make feeler bets to find out where you are in a hand, that is not necessarily true, or that your AI call was a donk move, it may have been the right play, depending on the situation and the answers to the above listed questions.
now, with all things being somewhat standard, this particular situation is called a 'cooler' and is something that happens in poker. you would have to have a great read on your opponent to fold in this spot so its just bad luck.
You say this happens a lot, I have to assume not always the same situation, cant imagine you have AK vs KK and hit a K on the flop that often. We need more hands to look at to see where you are making mistakes, this hand is a really bad example for analysis because most of the time both players are doing the right thing and someone loses a lot.
