Any tips on what to do when your running bad? I took a break for a little but then went back recently and been losing with such good hands... I've literally sat down and played cash where the fish are and seen people winning with just top pair weak kickers but then when I get in hands, I lose set over set or even flopping full houses and lose.

Today when I sat down I played KJ suited in the BB at 1-2 no limit for $12 when it was raised with pocket Queens. The flop ended up coming KJQ. I checked and he bet. Turn came a J and I checked again with him betting into me. River came an aice, but clearly didn't make a difference. I checked once again and he bet big. I ended up raising him but is this a bad raise? I really thought I was good and only finding out he had a bigger boat. I just can't seem to win anything on such good hands lately.

Only thing I did was tighten my game and waited out the downslide.
It took about 8 months of running even numbers before I started to increase the bankroll again.

I play all the way through my downslide but I also minimize the table time and took breaks of upto a week at a time.

Pros Gus Hansen announced its intention to take a break from online poker due to the large monetary losses that it incurred in the Internet. According HighStakesdb, Dane lost the FullTilt site about 7 million dollars.

"Poker of the Internet I was just depressing. I plan to take a break. Can this be called recreational training. I am going to analyze your game to the next year to change the situation. Too much whether I tiltoval? I played too formulaic? My opponents suddenly become Batman and Superman? Or I just replayed?

Of course, I'm not very lucky this year, but it is not the only cause losses. More than once I have been bad decisions, which ultimately led to such a minus "- quotes Hansen Ekstra Bladet.

Running bad

Running Bad and Running good is just a reality of online poker. I'd say its more frustrating, because you see it all on the screen online. I think if you are a good player, the good will eventually outweigh the bad. I have also had many beats on the turn or river with the top hand going in. I usually say something like "WTF" or "COME ON!!!" very loudly, and that helps me feel better.

Take a short break if you cant control your tilt. But if you can, just continue this game and try to forget about bad beats.

For the last 3 nights I have seen this couple hit absolutely everything no matter what, each one of them with over $700 every night. Today when I sat down I was like "again" ? and they both continued to hit everything, by the time I left one of them had over a 1k. Anyway, at some point you gotta hit.. Like they did.. Maybe not 3 nights in a row but you will hit. Think about that before you play again and not about how you are running bad. Good luck!

This is the balance in the game that makes it profitable in the long term. Study hard and keep getting you money in good and it will level out.

Tips what to do when running bad?

1.FOLD MORE!!!! I know it might be tilting to face a raise on the river with 2pair but make those folds , your winrate gonna thank you.

2.DONT bluff. People try to bluff other players to get back money that they lost but end up losing even more because if you are running bad , that doenst mean all are running bad.

3.PLAY. May sound dumb , but you need to play till you get over that downswing period. Play 1limit below the limit that you usually play, losing wont hurt so much.

Im ZOOM player so i can tell you this (Played way over a million hands) :

In 50k hands there is a 10k hand downswing period , 10k breakeven period , 2k of extremely runnin hot , all other hands thats your usual grind . These numbers are not 100% accurate but thats how i remember it from graphs.

Do you have enough hands in your data base to show you as a winning player over a significant sample? If so, then running badly happens from time to time. If you're actually a losing player, it's time to start plugging some leaks (I would have to have a good read on the raiser to play KJs to a 6x raise pf...)

You can try using some stoplost soft liek tilt breaker
If no - just stop when you lose certain ammount. Bad beats and coolers will happen so just take a breake, play tomorrow.
There is no universal advice on "how to stop getting frustrated", you have to work with yourself, but if it helps you can read something like "mental game of poker".

It is probably easier to wait out a bad streak live because there are fewer hands, and you get more of a chance to breathe and talk to fellow players. Quite often, if you have some friendly players at the table, a funny comment or even a player who acknowledges your bad luck, will make it easier to stomach.

nothing you can do when running bad. Just need to play through it and remember that you need to stay focused on making the right decision, not always what the outcome is.
