I think it depends how much money you have... Never deposit money if it is money you don't want to lose. Chances are, you will lose your first deposit. So probably better to play free rolls first so you can practice for free

I have made your first deposit, after 3-4 years of playing. First you better play for play money and freerolls. I think 99% of players lose your first deposit. In any case, you have to first learn how to win in freerolls and then play for real money.

As most have said above, it is not a bad idea to start with freerolls before making your first deposit. However, in most freerolls people play different then in tournaments with fees/cash tables (as there isn't any money on the line). However, i found it helps immensely by doing freerolls as it eases the transition to having your own money on the line.

Good luck with playing!

I believe freerolls is best especially if you don't have much money.

Cashing in a freeroll takes a lot of patience as you will see a lot of all in donks. So get studying and take your skills to the freeroll tables and beat those donks.

GL :)

Freerolls are good, especially for finding out if you have tilt issues caused by other people's bad play. You have to keep in mind that many don't take public freerolls seriously, I know I usually don't, I'm often calling out of the blinds or shoving ATC just for fun.

Try not to do that when you're starting out though, and use each game as an opportunity to build good habits.

Yes, you need to play freerolls first, just to see how good you are.
