If you have $ 10 it is stupid to enter a $ 10 tournament, so play tournaments of .10 and .25. Well there you can fight the variance by having enough game volume, which will dilute the bad beats that you eventually take (and believe you will take, no one is free of it).

Few players can raise the bankroll with little or no difficulty, most will "zero" a few times and have to deposit again.

Unfortunately it is part, one of the virtues in our sport is the patience and the ability to start over. If you missed the first 10 dollars. Start over. But before you give a review on your game, it will certainly improve something that will open the way on your next attempt.

So summarizing: Enjoy the promotions, choose your games well, respect your bankroll, have volume and patience.

If you can combine these items you will have a better chance of prospering, and soon you will be able to raise buy-ins and, perhaps, go far beyond what you imagined.

For beginners like me in poker, here I leave my first post in a small text about respecting our bankroll. THANKSS

Personally for myself, i could say that the bankroll is 100$ and above. But its very hard to get out there with a start of 20 or under.
I could not wait with 10 dollars for the next promotion and play only freerolls and saving those 10 for later. Im playing some low stake tables as you said, but in only on tables that im good, like cash tables with 6 people or zooms.
Im thinking that, building a good bankroll that could you could earn from it its hard and takes alot of time and patience to be done.

So good luck to all with building your bankrolls and spend their money won from their passion. ;)

Even .25 is to much if you really only have $10 to play poker with. That's only 40 buy-ins. I've always heard you should have 100 buy-ins for tournament poker.

I use the 40 buy-in method.

I.e. If I want to play in a $1.10 tournament my bankroll needs to be at least $44. If it's under $44 I should be playing something lower to increase my roll to that level before registering for the $1.10.

Well poker is variance and with patience it is worthy playing In the freerolls. With lots of practice and reading in the forum you'll get better at it.

I'm laughing. Because I usually play for all the money that is on my account. Luck comes unexpectedly. I think it's worth trying, even if you'll regret it. But I do not advise anyone either. Think with your head.

Whenever I play at the top of my bankroll, I lose the races even with best starting hands. I think that's one of my biggest reasons for playing a small percentage of my bankroll so you can absorb these losses better and not have to start from scratch again. You can get deeper into a hand where you can make a hand that wins when you're not scared of losing the hand. I've heard it said, "scared money never wins".

I think the most important thing in poker is bank management, no matter how good a player you are, if you do not have good bank management, you will lose money.

Remember, it's your money. You can easily get another $10 bankroll.

Bankroll management is the most important thing you can have as a poker player.

Without good bankroll skills it is hard to keep or build a good bankroll. I know this because I speak from experience. If you have $10 I would stick to nothing higher than $1 for a buy in and play as many freerolls as you can to add on to the bankroll.

I will be reading and studying how to build and keep a good bankroll because that is my biggest flaw.

Banking control

Perfect, I suggest starting with a banckroll 100 times bigger than the buy-ins that you play. For example if you have $ 50 then play tournaments and Sit and Go $ 0.50. You will certainly succeed.

I make a deposit of $ 100 per month, play nl 5, play 4 tables, I think that the deposit is enough to win good money at a long distance

I only have a mere £15 bankroll. I am currently mainly playing 0.25 and 0.50 SNG's. Would you say this is a correct strategy or should I be playing lower buyins?

Thanks

I would says that's fine, it's between 30-60 buyins, if the balance goes below £10 I would just play 0.25 only with the lower field sizes, 45 player max.

I make a deposit of $ 5 and play spin and go, sometimes it is possible to reach the 100 $ Spin and go, sometimes lose everything at once. Just because of my character, I can not play on the Limit low swamp.

Hello.

I absolutely agree with you.I have already lost my 4th bankroll. I started playing cash games and lost $ 40. In addition, I played several more $ 5 tournaments. In my case it was stupid to play such expensive tournaments and cash games.

Start playing with 100 buyins, use this safety margin.
