I have a hunch but wanted to know what all of your points of view. I recently moved ot the FR cash games and I am grinding the micro's.

My question is do the better players seem to congregate to the fast tables rather than the slower "regular" tables? To me it seems that they do because better players don't have to think so much about what they are doing.

Anway I wanted to know what you all thought as I don't remember seeing it posted before, even though I am sure it was.

I don't think regulars at micro stakes are paying much attention to that. Most likely the fast tables are going to be filled with more action-hungry fish though.

I don't think it's a huge difference though, not something to stress over too much.

More hands per hour = more opportunities for better players to make $$

Honestly it is something that I have never ever considered or even looked at. The only "thing" about a table I'll consider is the 50bb min-buyin ones which I do prefer, especially if they are loose!

This is exactly my point, good players know they want to play more hands per hour, good players know that will happen more at the fast tables than the regular speed tables. Doesn't it follow that you will find better players at the fast tables? Also I have noticed that the fast tables tend to be the losest.

I am not to worried at 2nl about it, it isn't likely that I will run into a good play, but I have been thinking about this and find it very possible.

When I first started and was a scared noob, I'd pick the slower tables.
When I started multi-tabling, I'd make sure that some were nor fast.

Nowdays I don't even pay attention to the table's speed.

I think the slow tables might be an itty-bitty-bit more conservative and the faster ones might be a little more aggressive.

IMO, a good player is going to pick tables based on how people at that table are playing (table stats), *not* on how fast the table is. If I see a table with good stats I don't pay any attention to whether or not it's fast.

All good advice so far,

You've got plenty of skill to handle either speed just fine. More hands per hour the more profitt possible. Faster speeds also let you play the weak players a bit easier.
