I don't want to complain about bad beats, but I feel like a big problem is my wins are small and my beats are bad. E.g. I'll win 5 hands just winning small amounts, 1 bad hand and I'll lose my entire stack.
I have literally not been positive since I began trying to play with bankroll management and wondered if anyone could give me some advice on what I could do to begin to improve my game and actually start winning something.
hmm you make this tough your big wins come from MTT so mainly your playing cash games but what level again this is SOOOOOO IMPORTANT lol. What are your goals per day. If you limit yourself to only one thing you have to be almost perfect because of the word VARIANCE so you play lets say 10 cent 25 cent daily? You are going to have bad days when do you get up and leave and walk away.
So you have things you have to learn or decipher you HAVE TO MAKE rules and live by them my friend other wise you will do same things over and over and get same results usually
You want to move up get some wins you got to change this sit and goes or mtt's is your option. You can grind but if do not have those rules? for ring? Well will say good luck I don't envy you at all.
I know a lot of poker players myself personally even true pros I do not know a lot of them who got rich with 100 dollar bankroll grinding just saying
Expectations 6 max etc.. variance I really do not know where to begin want to help you but think you have to change it all up myself depending on what you are trying to accomplish
Look I am a tourney player but can hold own in any setting imho with my experience and results.
Yet still if play 10-15 events a day? I expect a couple 2 or more moneys hopefully a decent one. If ring? If am losing a roll say bring 2.00 to table and lose it I usually WALK away from ring for the day or awhile lol. Change rooms whatever.
I have rules I follow and follow the flow some days only freeroll cause of variance see it feel it lol
So is some smarter guys on here come up with your PLAN your rules SPELL IT ALL OUT for them to decipher and give you advice You have the game needed if your just holding own THAT IS THE POSITIVE!!
So now you need to adjust to what you want with your bankroll and how to move slowly forward.
This forum will help you but you got to be open TO CHANGE.
I am not sure anyone can help you with what your doing right now and how your going about it. You are holding own so is positive and over time will pay off maybe in years though?
Are you afraid to change try new things? Etc..?
You shouldnt be as said you held own for months is time to take next steps you have to decide what those are This board will help yet not sure you can do more than what you are doing with the limitation you have put on self by playing one thing putting eggs in one basket.
