reasons for betting/raising/checking/folding

A nit raises x2 UTG in a sng, blinds 50/100 eff stack sizes 2k between nit and hero....do you raise or call from btn.......what's your reasons?

You flat call & sb/bb fold.....flop comes 8 J 5 rainbow....nit half pots....do you call/reraise/fold ....what's the reasons?

You call.......turn Jd .....nit checks......do we check or bet?...if we check what cards are we scared of?...what cards are good for us?....do we mind giving the nit a free card?....if we bet, can he call with a worse hand?...what can he reraise with?....

We check.....river 2h .......nice card for us....nit puts in a 3/4 bet.....so what do we do now?....what is he representing...is he betting as a bluff or for value....what range do we give him and what range does he put us on.....what's your reasons for taking the next action?

We call and he flips over ______ ????????

Poker is a highly situational game. The original post seems to be looking for the one best way to play this hand. But if so, this ignores the fact that all nits aren't the same, which means that when you make decisions, you may want to consider different factors and/or assign them different weights depending on the particular type of nit.
