Hi everybody, Im desperate to improve my game, but I don't really know what to do or how to do it. Can anybody give me some specific tips on how to improve my game, other than the usual, study, play, read, look at hand histories etc.

Just a general bit about my game.

I can beat NL2 for about 5/100bb no problem, I have done this three times already. I have just moved up to NL5 Zoom and over the small sample of hands 8k I have, I am beating this for about the same 7.5/100bb

I have generally no idea what my leaks are, although I do tend to spew chips with TPTK or Over pairs, but specific leaks I am not so sure of.

I have a very basic grasp of Pot odds, Im confused on which method of calculating outs is the best way, 4 AND 2 rule, but I have read somewhere that it is really 2 and 2.

Im unsure how to calculate equity and expected value correctly, and how to apply them. I can work out the EV of certain situations by doing the sum whilst looking over the hand, but Im unsure how I apply it vs a players range in hand.

I have poker strategy equilab but no idea how to use it, I have PT4 but only use it for HUD and BB/100 looking at.

Statistics of game, can anybody analyse my stats and help me identify any specific leaks from my game and advise me on how to improve them/fix them I would appreciate it greatly. Just let me know what you need from me.

When looking/analysing hands after sessions, I have a quick look, and get bored because I have no idea what I am looking for(all hands, big wins/losses), don't really know how to analyse game and look for leaks, bad patterns etc on PT4.

OUts rule. 4x if allin on the flop or get to see both turn and river. 2x per individual street after the flop. 2x turn, 2x river. So if youre on the btn and you raise the flop with a flush draw your opponent calls and will x the turn to you, you have essentially 4x on the flop.

post a screen shot of your stats table. Include a lot of things that are important like vpip, pfr, cb flop/turn/river, fold cb flop, 3b, f3b, 4b, xr, wtsd, w$sd, agg%, etc.

Also not playing zoom will make you better as you get to sit on tables and learn how each player plays and exploit them rather than having random players every hand.

Yes for God's sake - stop playing gimmicks. Not that you can't profit but it is extremely shallow and will not help you develop your own play.

Stop looking for shortcuts - the fastest way to elevate your game is personal hand history review. Slow down and walk through those hands - not scan through them. I guarantee you will find places that will make you go, "What in the hell was I thinking?!?!?"
