What do you all think of Razz? Do you like it, as compared to other non-holdem games? (I.e. does it take longer to finish than other games?).
Have you all tried Razz freerolls on FullTilt? Is it profitable (freerolls or any other MTT, or sitngos?). I do not know if I want to really get into Razz and play a bunch; I wonder if it takes as much skill as some other games might.
Well, I don't know how profitable a freeroll with 2700 player can be. It's a freeroll, so you can't lose money. Never tried a SNG, but sometimes play in the cash games microstakes at FT when I'm burned out from Omaha HL.
And yes, it's usually profitable. It is a
very simple game in itself. And because of that, you've got to fine-tune all the other nuances of the game (i.e. position, door cards, preflop betting, semi-
bluffing), and that's where the skill kicks in.
I think it is a real game of skill and luck obviously. and badbeats just do not occur in this game as often as others... which makes me happy to know
I get plenty of bad beats, but they are more easily controlled, and not as fatal as in anything limit. Thing is, Razz is a game where typically, your hand can only get worse - because you fold the bad ones immediately. The good thing is, you keep a careful eye on the table and know when to fold em.
Time wise, Limit tourneys tend to last about the same length as NL tourneys. First glance would suggest otherwise, since so few folks go out in the first hour, but after the break, the Antes and Bets are getting up there and the action picks up big time.
So true with the antes and huge bets on the last 2 streets. Still think it does take a little longer than a NL game, but not as much as you'd think.
