Razz Question

Hey I'm new to Razz and I play in some of the freerolls over by Full Tilt. I was wondering what happens if I don't even have 5 cards to show.

Example Hand: AA22334

I'm currentely in the Razz Freeroll, and 24th place. Can you give me some quick tips that new players should know. Thanks!

I didn't know FT had razz freerolls, I could use those to practice, I am pretty new to it as well.

Yeah I'm starting to really like razz because it's more statistical in my opinion. I don't want to get into this discussion but I'm suprised there arn't "bots" playing it! lol

once u hit 3 pair like that your hand isa pair of aces it is worse then having king high and JEP712 their is alot of razz bots out their i think it is the most boted game ive personally faces at least two bots heads up in razz

Lowest pair shown is 22 here - and you won't win with that one very often.

I did last week and the whole table killed itself with laughter (other guy had 55).

I don't want to get into this discussion but I'm suprised there arn't "bots" playing it!

no man i am sorry to correct you but a pair of aces in razz is lower then a of pair 2's so pair of aces is his hand and it would beat a pair of 2's

WOW this is all news to me, It is my understanding that Razz uses the wheel not pairs or anything. I'm confused.

Yeah - you're trying to get the lowest possible hand.

If no one qualifies for a hand as "good" as K-high however the lowest pair wins.

This would almost never happen in a game where people knew what they were doing right?
I have only played Razz freerolls but I don't think I have ever seen a pair win before.

Yes it almost never happens - I was on autofold after bring in anyway -

Best hand in Razz is A2345

No hand should really be played with a pair as the starter AA2 as a hidden pair would be the only exception I might consider.

You are wanting to play all hands that have three different cards 8 or lower to start. Ideally 5 or less to start.

This is a huge buffing game.
