Razz question??

I have been razz only for a couple weeks but i still get confused sometimes. In this scenario which hand would win?

hand #1: 23456

hand#2: A2456

maybe i just need some clearing up on the rules but most of the time i understand why each hand wins but i get confused. can someone help me out here?

Well,if hand1 is 23456 and hand2 is A2456 the winner is the second hand because you have to compare cards from high to low.
In this example both hands show 6,5,4 but if you compare the next high card, the 3 of the first hand with the 2 of the second hand, 2 is lower than 3 so the second hand is the winner.

Yep hand 2 has it

In Razz you look at your cards the other way around really -

hand #1: 23456 becomes 65432
and
hand#2: A2456 bcomes 6542A

Here you can see the 3 is higher than any in hand 2 and so it loses

In a hand like A. 87432
and in on like B. 87532 the 5 is higher than the 4 and so loses

Both those hands would be referred to as '6 low'. All razz hands will get that description.
