hands are ranked from the top down in razz. Your 98 low wasn't as good as your opponent's 97 low.

Razz hands are compared highest card first.

You had: 9, 8, 5, 2, A
They had: 9, 7, 6, 5, 3

So they won because 7 < 8.

Yep, that is correct.

Ranked High-Low.

9-7 was lower than your 9-8.

Yeah, what everyone else said..... though, it's strange seeing your opponent staying with that hand, especially after the second 3. I'm a bit confused on the opponents strategy there........ the last 3 streets were unlucky for you, I guess.

ditto on the above. Looks like the big stack was trying to bully others out of the pot. He just happened to catch better on the last few streets. I doubt he thought he was ahead. Had to draw to a playable hand. If no one else was betting I'd assume he was just trying to buy it

I think he had a right to bet and call, after your 2 nd bad call you might have thought to get out of the hand. Razz hands can change with just one card, but it is fustrating to see big card, big card, match as your last 3.

Full Tilt scrambles the down cards when displaying them after a hand. What shows above may not be as dealt.

Roundcat is correct! The scramble down at the end showing the 3 down cards placed highest to lowest on everyone hands make the hand played worse than it probably appears! His 9-7 beats your 9-8 for best. Most likely he a was sitting with 9-6-7-3 when the 3 hit him on 5th street! while he saw you with XX A-5-10! No way is he folding to anything when he has 5 cards to hit with 2 draws left to beat your 10 best showing!
