I was wondering how you can tell if someone has raised preflop with a Ace in their hand

Well if I get what you're asking you'd have to know the ranges of whoever you're playing against to see if they would play an ace combo at different positions. Other than that there's really no magically bet size size that says they have an ace. Sometimes people who limp into the pot could have an unsuited ace and are simply trying to hit the pair on the flop but even that is kinda an iffy guide to go by.

If the player is good, you won't be able to tell that.

if you watched them awhile or played against them it would be easier to put them on a range of hands-like was said already good savy players will raise the same amount no matter what they have-new players will always be easier to range-take notes, take notice on how much they raise with what 2 cards then put it in your notes

You don't need to know if opponent got an Ace preflop when he raises. Actually it's impossible to know unless you are some kind of clairvoyant magician. The best you can do is to put opponent on a rage of hands and work your way back by eliminating some of the hands after every round of betting. There's no other way to come close to some reasonable solution but to play your hand against his entire range.

As someone else has said, if they're good you won't be able to tell because they'll be mixing it all up. In Turbo tournaments some players will shove with any ace or any pockets, or even any premium hand. Some will even go with suited connectors as low as 4,5

Its like asking who will welcome us when we arrive at Mars....its next to impossible....
But U can learn to read their hole cards by their betting patterns position playing style but still nobody can answer ur question...
If by anychance if we met at the same table i might raise preflop with 88 pretending i have the nuts depending on the situation...If U think everytime someone who raise at preflop had an Ace u will be in big trouble ..Study hard dig deeper u will understand GL ☺

If a player you are unfamiliar, it is unlikely you will determine. Even knowing the player you will find it difficult to understand by raising which card he has. I personally do not use a stereotype. This gives an opportunity to deceive the opponent.

i think reraise helps to understand the strength of the cards on preflop or hands and, as a rule, the one who makes it

well ... usually a player will do a reraise with AA, KK, AK, AQ, AJ being the last three suitable, taking these hands, I see no reason to do a reraise. (Preflop).
We are together.

It's easier to tell post. If they played Ace-rag out of position then their post flop play will generally be very hesitant, for good reason. A min-bet post flop with an Ace on board is usually a good tell.

im not sure if you can specifically tell when someone has a ace when they raise however, raises most of the time speaks to having a strong hand, strong hands such as premiums or high pokcet pairs. On the other hand base on player position some raises are done as a way to steal blinds or bluff opponents to steal the pot when they might have a significantly weaker range. But to know when someone specifically has an ace when they raise is kinda impossible. It is however possible to study players so you can get a read on their raising range whether it is from ep, mp, lp, or btn, with this knowledge you would then have an idea of what ranges they are raising, calling with. gl sir

The easiest way to check whether an opponent has an ace is to make a 3-bet. In the event that the opponent called your bet, then he's likely to have an ace. But this way is expensive, so the easiest way is to watch the opponent for a while.

If only I knew this for sure, I wouldn't be here discussing some controversial topics and studying poker, however there are some tips to help u understand villain's game better. Those tips were mentioned above but still have smth to add. First of all u need to start thinking using such terms as ranges and u r to learn how to put ur opponent on a range. U can't know for sure what precise hand he has, however u may assume him having quite a specific range of hands. No more words, just check out this video, how it works in real life:

Definitely an understatement, but he is very good at reading other players.

Has anyone else heard about the woman who won tournaments without looking at her cards? With the exception of calling all-ins she played by reading the other players actions
