raise stopper

what will you do if somebody out of position put a raise stopper bet in the pot, and you know that your high card is ahead on that street and suddenly on the river he shoves on you?

it happens a lot that players without position raise minimum to stop you from betting in that case I try to push it hard so that he/she let go of the pot

When I see these kind of bets I usually pretend it is a check and do the same I'd do, either checking (paying the small bet), or raising (a bit more to compensate their bet). If we get to a show down I like to see with which hand they're making these small bets with, to see if it was either a trap or trying to go for a cheap showdown.
