hello pokerbuds wanted to ask your opinion on playing the rag Ace. how would you play the rag Ace from early to mid position assuming your first to act lets say an Mtt and how would you play it early in the game and deep in the game?
and secondly how would you play it if there is a raise behind you and your in mid position all comments much appreciated gl " crush the fish" :)

I usually always fold Ace rag in early game and position. In BB or SB position early in game I may call if no raised too much. Only thing is when A pops uo then I am almost forced to play and this is sometimes bad when villian has A better kicker Later in game after knowing my opponents on table better, I may call more often, when late in game and usually late in position. Maybe 3 betting to steal a pot befor flop.

I appreciate the Ace and I'll usually try to see a flop if the price is right. Then I play it accordingly.

Consider that one lucky after seeing BOOM. If I had bet less than all in there I would have folded at the flop.

It depends on many factors if you play or not.

Just remember to be very careful in playing it because of the weak kicker.

Ace rag is a losing hand. Don't play it and you will win more.

Exception is when you are short and need to win some pots to live.

Thing like this depend a lot on table dynamic. If facing a tight table why not raise and steal some blinds but fold to 3bet.

I think this is right. Arag can get you into trouble. Difficult to know where you stand. I prefer to let it go in early position.

You just need to play it carefully. I would say limp and see the flop. Fold to any raise preflop.

Very seldom will I play A rag and I don't care if they are suited. When I'm in late position and everyone limps I will call, but it A comes to the board and I don't have a draw or hit two pair, I fold to a big bet after the flop. I have learned over the years that A rag will cost you money in the long run

I don't play those in early position. In late position i sometimes try to steal the blinds. But very rarely. I only like those hands with less players at the FT. You will need to flop a straight, flush or 2 pair to really like the hand after the flop. Or bluff ofcourse. But since it isn't very common to hit a monster flop with those hands i will avoid playing those hands as much as possible. Just because you might get stuck in a pot you don't want to get stuck in.

Here is a very rare case where I played A rag. In big blind and no one raised.
LOL my rag doubled up in flop giving me set. Only then is it good, or in your BOOM. LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY
