Your poor parents. Do they understand what a burden you will become to them?

They owned the restaurant, there is a lot more than what you see with your eyes to a person's life decisions.

In time you will learn to judge people much slower and to worry about your own issues much more.

It doesn't matter if they are millionaires. An adult child that they have to support because he is busy trying to become a play money poker pro is a burden.

This has nothing to do with issues or problems. This is about being an adult. A college dropout who plays fake money poker online all day isn't someone parents are going to be bragging about at their country club.

Also, seriously, they owned the place and the best job they could find for you was dishwasher? This says something about either your credibility or your ability. ;)

You don't know what I helped them with in this business.

The load I handled is something you legally need to hire an extra person to do but since I did for free I was doing double load of pots and pans and on top of that I help with accounts and other things behind the scenes including cleaning the house on 3 floors as well as helping in other ways but you see what you want to see.

My parents know I got their back and I got theirs. I know what I've done for them and they for me. I am going to soon be grinding for 100 dollars profit per sesh and you will still be whining that VPIP 60 is impossible to outplay with. You don't understand how to use being an idiot to your advantage with table image.

We are not millionaires, just will say that. They just sold it that's why I quit. :) Was a nice play of fate to show it was my time.

Most of them would be better off with a job and playing to supplement their income.

Playing poker for a living takes more discipline than people expect. In before 'a hard way to make an easy living.' :D

It is one of the most viable ways in modern day to be totally boss-free and thriving from small starting amount. Slave to no one other than the mistress RNG.

Non going to assuming anything I don't know about, just asking basic questions:

1. Do you pay rent? Other expenses? A few K isn't going to last forever if you consider other expenses (if any) are a factor.

2. Since you'll be spending your savings, you won't be able to save any...so what is the plan if your money runs out/your poker journey doesn't go as planned? I'm sure your parents will give you a job at the restaurant again, but what if they don't?

3a. Since you're still grinding play money, when do you hope to be playing free money? Assuming it takes a month to reach top level of play money, that's a month of not earning income and a month you're still spending from your savings.

3b. Will you be starting with 2nl and moving on up? Or will you jump to 10nl-25nl and start playing from there? If it's the latter, what percent of your current savings will be used as BR? Have you adjusted your living expenses for the percentage of your savings being used as a BR?

not paying rent was the pay. I know what I am doing and I know what I play play money for. You were the inspiration for it and now you change your tune saying it was all sarcasm.

You maybe were possessed by fate to give me the idea, I can definitely understand that but the idea is a great one. Once I've crushed play money top stakes, I will show the truth of the loose style and how loosening up tables is not a choice but a necessity in crushing 25NL+

It depends for me because if you suck or just started playing poker seriously and you quit your job already, the odds are against you but if you're good or at least decent and already save some BR before you quit your job and manage your in real life expenses like a good for 2 months budget for food, electricity etc, and you'd only play poker all day every day I think you're good to go and see what happens after that 2 months if you got profit or not.

because you can't just decide that you'll quit your job and try to make a living out of poker No, you need solid plans and you have to try it first for a week or two and see how you do. sorry for my English

and that's just my opinion :D

That depends. If that man knows for a fact that he is able to generate enough profit from poker to pay rent, medical insurance, everyday expenses and etc then why not? In this case job just interferes with poker (or vice versa) so the man has a real life choice. But that implies that this man has been playing poker for quite some time, build some bankroll and has enough savings to cover expenses for at least several months.

Otherwise it's a huge gamble which may not pay off. But then given young age the man can still return to having ordinary job even if this endeavor fails.

Each person chooses his path in life. The main thing then not to remain without pants in the street.;)

I think it's normal working at the plant you work for another person. It's enriched with your work. Poker gives you the opportunity to work for yourself on your own business.

You're actually playing 'play money'? WOW! I thought these guys were just joking.
You need help bud. Head outside in the sun and let a bit of reality shine in. Even just turn on the lights while inside ... maybe something will wear off?

Instead of verballizing your dellusional fantasies, why not just actually play? After reading your posts I'd be shocked if you can even beat 2nl, or $2 MTT's. Prove me wrong, LOL.

I need not prove you wrong until I first prove myself right.
