Hey...i have a bunch of questions...so instead of making a ton of posts to get my count up I figured one post is easier for me to take notes from

questions cover many different topics/strategies...so here we go...

1. When is it profitable to shove.pairs preflop in an MTT? Multiway?
Deepstack? Shortstack?

EXAMPLE.. PLAYER IN MID SHOVES FOR 10k.. FOLD FOLD CUTOFF RESHOVES FOR 15k..THE BUTTON (CHIPLEADER) RESHOVES FOR 23k..
IF EVERYONE.ELSE.FOLDS AND THE 3 SHOVES GET.IN PREFLOP...ON AN AVERAGE...IF HAS BEST HAND WOULD THE BUTTON BE WINNING HIS CHIPS BACK OR WOULD.HE BE LOSING CHIPS IN THE LONG RUN? WHAT IF HE HAS SECOND BEST HAND? IS HE LOSING ANY CHIPS?

2. HOW MANY POKER LEVELS ARE THERE..DOES IT STOP AT 10...OR IS IT DEEPER THAN THAT?

3. ARE THERE CERTAIN PLAYS THAT.WILL PRODUCE MORE RAKE? MULTIWAYS RAKE HEAVY?

4. WHAT ARE LINES?

5. 5nl 10nl 20nl..DOES THE NUMBER REFER TO BIG BLIND SIZE.OR MAX BUYIN?

6. SOMETIMES I COME ACROSS HYPER AGGRESSIVE PLAYERS...WHAT ARE SOME OF THEIR WEAKNESS AND HOW CAN I EXPLOIT THEM?

7. ARE HOT KEY TOOLS BENEFICIAL?

8. BEEN CHECKING OUT PLAYING SIT N GOS...WHAT ARE.SOME SOLID STRATEGY FOR THIS TYPE OF GAME
ALSO.WHAT IS SIT N GO WIZARD?

I do have lots more questions...but dont want to bombard...thanks for viewing

I'll have a go :)

1) Read up on harrington's M value, and how aggressively you need to play according to your M.

2) Not sure what you mean by poker levels? Levels of blinds in cash games? Levels of thinking?

3) Rake at a particular cash level on a particular site will be a constant percentage, and the rake for tourney entry is paid at the start when you register, so not really. Ofc multiway pots are usually larger so more rake will be taken. In cash games, looser players will generate more rake back simply because they are involved in more pots.

4) Lines describe how you played a hand, like bet bet bet or bet check bet or check-raise bet bet for example.

5) Refers to max buy in 5nl - buy in for $5 (100bb), 10nl buy in for $10 (100bb)

6) Quite a few ways to exploit them including waiting for good hands and let them do the betting or calling down lighter. Generally try to play the opposite way to your opponents so loose against nits and tight against loose players.

7) If you're mass multitabling they can be

8) Read up on SNG strategy, I'm not going to write an essay :p SNG wiz is a useful bit of software for SNG players, never used it myself though

Level 1 - what have I got?
Level 2 - what has he got?
Level 3 - what does he think I've got?
Level 4 - what does he think I think he's got?
Level 5 - what does he think I think he thinks I've got?

As you can see it get ridiculous by level 5 and I doubt anyone thinks beyond level 5 :) Might be wrong though, maybe some pros can

The only thing I am going to add to micro's post is about rake.

The vast majority of sites/B&M's will have a cap on rake, so with multiway pots you are more likely to hit that cap than if it is HU. The likelyhood obviously goes up the more people are in the pot. But this % or cap amount doesn't change based on how many people.

Let's say two $100 stacks get it in HU and the rake cap is $3, then that $3 is all that will be taken. Same thing happens, but 4 people get it in, rake would still only be $3.

So they don't necessarily make more in rake % wise, it just builds up to that cap faster as more gets in the pot.

I'll add something. Don't try either to over-simplify poker by looking for pat answers that always apply to certain types of hands and/or situation. But also don't try to over-complicate it by thinking about far more than is necessary against the opponent(s) you're facing.

observing

If you have been observing the players at the tables your at then you can determine there behaviors. Are they loose aggressive ,tight aggressive? do they play alot of hands? and so on. Betting is just information that you are telling the table that you are on By observing players as the play continues you an start to see a pattern for that particular player and you an adjust accordingly .
