Question about studying poker.
I find myself every day flicking between several forums, looking at threads, reading strategy articles, then I would see a term like 'pot control' and would type that into google and read an article on that to brush up on it. Then for example I would think about hand ranges, and google articles and charts on that and so on. All while flicking between here and flopturnriver.com, and any other site that I can get information from on different subjects reading whichever ones interest me or subjects that I am not entirely familiar with.
Then some days I work my way through a poker book like Dan Harrington, Super System etc and I have a poker notepad to jot down any important points that I pick up.
Then back to forums, articles etc etc
Of course with playing some hands as well as posting hands on forums for analysis, while reading through hands that other players have posted too.
I do this every day.
Is this an effective way of studying ? Or should I focus full sessions to one particular subject then move onto the next? Is what I am doing fine and will I eventually and subconsciously be getting better as a player?
How do you guys study, in what volume? Any advice and feedback would be brilliant, my first proper post of many on this forum, I hope from this post and some of the replies that it might receive, that it can help others with studying as well as myself.
