Question about raising with blinds.

O.K. I have always wondered this. Say blinds are .05/.10.

I am in mid position, and I want to raise 3X the BB. Do I put of $.40 or $.30??

.40 would include the blind, and then a raise of 3X.

.30 is including the blind and raising 2X.

3x usually refers to exactly 3 times the big blind, so in your example that would be $0.30.
To stay in, the person in the big blind would have to call 2 more i.e. $0.20

Ok, that makes sense.

I have been doing it all wrong lol.

I usually would put in $.40, but know I won't make that mistake.
