I've been spending a lot of time studying, mainly by watching the pros on twitch, but I'm realising more and more that poker is a completely different game depending upon what stakes you play at. Players who are good at navigating through micro stake tables may not necessarily be able to transfer that onto higher level tables. And those that are profitable at high stakes could be losing players at micro. The strategies I see the pros use on twitch just don't work the same on low stakes. If I see a pro make a standard 3bb raise with ak, then most at the table fold and they end up heads up against one player. The same raise on a micro stake table will normally see 4 or 5 people calling, sometimes just going straight all in. I have learnt a lot from watching the pros on twitch but at the stakes I play at its a different game altogether.

each thing you can use is a learning tool plain and simple nothing is infallible. What i will say myself ive used some things I have learned watching twitch and generally works for me whatever level im on. My thing is i play more mtt so use some of the strategies for that over ring or grinding yet ive grinded certain levels and everything I have learned over time is implemented as needed no matter the stakes.

Pros have learned to fold more. Low stakes players will chase every draw down. It's all about finding your game. Where do you fit in it? Find a game you can beat. Use that game to build your roll and take a shot at higher levels when you're ready. If it is too hard then go back to the game you beat.

the first thing need to analyze who are sitting on table and what kind of players they are, when you need what kind of characteristic player is you can use some kind of strategies against him, via 3bet you can make the final.

You're right, in my opinion the level of stakes has a role in table variance. Although any form of poker whether you're playing, it's on twitch, reading a book or watching a live event. They all provide positive knowledge to help improve your game.

I play a variety of levels and change my game for each one. This is adjusted again for tournaments. Watching pros at a high level helps you learn new tools which is helpful, but like you posted, many times complex play just doesn't work at micros or with the donkeys.

In the micros I play a very narrow selection. Many days its AK or better and look to play a big pot. Usually in the micros, most people over play their hand and you can take advantage of that. As you move up, you are going to find people less interested in putting in all their chips with just top pair.

Know what game you are getting into and adjust accordingly. You need a well rounded game.

everything depends on the villains. and your ops on zoom500 are not the same as nl2. while you might need some GTO for zoom500 there is no point in GTO on nl2 when you have 3 ops with 70/20 stats over 100 hands.
I mean you would not see a lot of 3 ways pots with bad hands on high lims, on the other hand on nl2 calling/3-barreling with 2nd pair and weak kicker is a common thing, right? =)
+ you have to adjust the price. loosing EVEN 5 BI nl2 is not that much... but 2 BI at nl200 is low monthly salary at many countries so... =)

You are right man.Is the two side of the same coin. In micro limits players play with their hole cards.By leveling up you have to understand that you must always put you opponent in a range.

Poker is not that simple as many amateurs think. You have to analyze every move of yours and your opponent's. I can't understand how some people can multitable more than 4 tables at that levels. You realy have to put so much effort in order to have a deep run.

and ofc you CAN'T apply some moves in the micro limits. And also believe that some of the top tier pros can't play in lower limits.
