You can find really good tips on bankroll management and bankroll building if you google those terms. Basically you first need a positive winrate, then you have to have a big enough bankroll to endure losing streaks.
Also only play with money you do NOT need, especially if you're not winning.

The best way to learn how to play poker is to practice regularly on freerolls otherwise you will lose money a lot.

Patience & guts works well. You have to be able to read some of the players in order to know when you can make your move. Especially you have to watch for the chip bully's weakness

Planning and thinking about it helps but alone it does not make you a pro. You need to study hard. You need to train hard. You need to be coached by professionals. You need to put many hours into it every day of the week and even weekends.

It doesn't happen overnight either. Think of professional poker as a career where you start at the bottom in the mail room. As the worker at the bottom you do all the hard work and you get little money for it. But as you do training and perform well in your job you get promoted to higher positions where you still work hard but start to earn more money. Eventually you reach the top after some years and can be your own boss. Now you run a business so you decide how much work you need to do to keep the money rolling in.

Poker is not a get rich quick scheme. You have to be prepared to work many hours a day and you have to be prepared to study a lot.

All hello, tell me how to understand that a player is bluffing or he has a strong card, he just walks through every circle and everyone falls down and he collects the blades, does he need to be opened on a small pair? I play a lot of freeroll tournaments and expensive but not always get into the prize zone What shall I do?

Of course is training hard and focus in your games a very important requirement, but in my opinion is equally important how you manage your bankroll. Lot of playes get bankrupt because they play more expensive tournaments than they should. I would advise to enter only a tournament if you have at least 100 times the Buy-in in your Bankroll. To build your bankroll from the start try to play freerols and grow from there. And never ever forget to study.

If you try think than a professional. You also have other ways, like, take your time every hand to analize what is your opponents cards. If you start with a bankroll you may lose it all, but is not a bad idea. Good luck

There is no better teacher than experience.

Everyone who plays poker is within a hierarchical structure. There is always someone better than you which means there is always someone worse off than you.
One of the problems that the players have is to think that opponents think the game to the same level as them. Thus, they make many moves and make decisions that many times opponents do not understand and end up losing money.
Believing that players know or play poker as well as you can be a big mistake in poker.

I don't know who wrote this, but it's really true for me, and it should be for any player. "I don't always have time to study poker, but when I do I always register for the next MTT.

For me, this don't say all I need to do is play and get better. It says I need to spend over half of my time playing at set times, and studying on set times. I know I would not be where I am without both.

I like what Zorba said and I agree 100%. He said, "Why does he need google when he has Cardschat." That is an example of myself. I have not used anything but the advice I got here to learn the game. Don't get me wrong, because I'm not saying not to pick up things along the way, just use CC as your main place to learn from. GL to you

Don't worry mate. As long as your idea is clear and you really try, folks here will overlook the English and help as much as they can.

Hi 5 from Sri Lanka! :D

It's a little difficult understanding but here's a try. He can bluff all he wants but if you play strong hands and be patient you can score a lot off him when he bluffs and you have a hand. If other players are folding too frequently then they are trying to play marginal hands too often, which you shouldn't. Preserve your chips and wait for the big ones to get as much chips as you can from him.

From my point of view poker professionals are those who earn enough money to live, are those people who devote full time to playing poker. And that like every profession they devote time to prepare better each day.

I was wondering if anyone started playing for free, then achieved financial success as a pro?

To become a professional poker player i believe your understanding of the game must be great...if not you could just end up losing everything ! Most professional players have had years of practice or studying before they become professionals. It would be amazing to be a professional poker player, even part time.
