I just want to know what you guys think about using pokerstars Play Money to better your Poker skills for the Live Casino? I live in the US and can't play online and I don't want to play online. Cashing out his a B*tch. In my opinion, a lot of players on PokerStars Play Money play a lot stronger than players at the Casino.

I know some people say online poker is rigged and for a while I believed that. After I played Live at the Casino I realized that those suck out happens everywhere. For example, I have AQ offsuit and a guy sucked out with A4 offsuit on a JA824 Board. If it was me when I first started and this happened online I would have gotten real pissed and bang my desk or something saying that online Poker is rigged. But now I know it's just the variance of the game. This was at the $30/$60 table. Even in higher limits there are donkeys swimming around, but I love and need them. If everyone play tight like me how can I make a profit.

Just a few hours ago I saw a lady suckout on 2 guys that flopped the nut straight on the Flop with J7 suited by hitting a Flush on the River to win the largest pot I've seen in a while. I think every round except for Pre-Flop was capped. One of the guy deserve what was coming to him because he played 78 offsuit on the Button. The other was in the BB with 78 offsuit (I felt sorry for him because he probably would have folded 78 offsuit to a raise or if he wasn't the BB).

I apologize for the rant, but I just have to get it off my chest. I have read post after post of players complaining that online Poker is rigged and I've made I own post every time I get a bad beat (I understand how foolish I was). I just want to tell myself that "Now I know better". There will always be donkey who play A7 suited hoping to get the "Nut Flush" which only happens 1 out of every 16 times. I know because I out kicked many of them when an Ace hit the Board.

If you play the sng 200,000 chip buy in you have some serious players. If you are playing anything less than 80,000 you are just playing bingo with a bunch of fools. I have not played there in quite some time but I used to play the 80,000 plus sng's.There are also the 40K or fold and the all in or fold tables. You can do pretty well there if you play the right hands. A few tips if you really want to practice there. They have a test site testpokerstars.net you can create an account there and any chips you win you can xfer over and they will double on pokerstars. The test site is pretty much a joke as far as playing goes it is most people just go to omaha hi lo and go all in every hand. Even their 100-200 tables are a bingo game. One other tip if and when they ever open Pokerstars up again to U.S. players their will be a huge market for play chips. Before you could get $10 per 1 million chips.I funded my account with over $300 buy selling play chips.
Good Luck to you in all your ventures.:)

There is no such thing as a serious poker player at the play tables, I don't care if it is a 1,000,000,000 chip buyin. Serious players will have real money in their accounts.

But seriously... a billion?!?!?! That'd be pretty smokin' I'd think. (who'd want risk losing a BILLION?!?... think of all the time that would've taken to build up).

Why not just deposit a small amount online & play the micro limits (2nl or 4nl). It'd be WAYYYYY better than wasting time playing on those playchip tables. The only time I'm on playchip tables is when I'm just getting started on a new site & want to set up my tables/options, etc. & get myself accustomed with the bet slider (or spot I need to type in an amount). Not sayin' this cuz I'm a High-roller or somethin'... I'm mostly just a micro donk myself - - there's a few sites I have just small bankrolls on which I use for playing micro limits.

Of the CAKE network sites, I'm pretty sure you're better off going with intertops over Cake (but there's all kinds of threads on this site that discuss the different sites available today to US players).

Lol, playmoney will hurt your game more than anything. 2NL players would crush the highest stakes of play money. You'll start thinking it is acceptable to shove KQs 250BB deep.

It's really hard to find none bingo player anywhere now. I have no idea why, but I like loose players especially at the Fixed-Limit table. How the hell are you going to make money at a Fixed-Limit table if you're not playing against people who think A9suited is a premium hand. Just love out kicking them.

o_O lol which casino is this, I'm on my way. :D

If you're in Colorado come to Ameristar. Even at a $30/$60 table you can find guys playing any Ace. Sometime they beat me with 2 pairs, but more often than not I out kick them. Not to mention some idiot 3-Bet/Cap the "Turn" and "River" with the nut Straight on a 3 suited card Board on the "Turn". After losing so much to the Flush he said his luck was bad. LOL. He still have to force "Showdown", but he didn't have to lose that much.

And there are bingo players everywhere you go. There was this guy at my table a couple nights ago that played real tight. After his AK got suckout my a guy playing 78 offsuit on a A75Q8 Board he started playing Bingo with the rest of them. Even in High Stake Poker you see Phil Hellmuth playing hands like K5 suited or 8T offsuit. Sometime I don't get it, but it doesn't matter. You just do what you have to do to win. A winning Poker player is always a good Poker player.

**** yeah, I'm on it. even if I'm only a micro stakes multitabler who's buyin to these games would be like 15x my whole bankroll lol. kinda annoying that people play games for this much and have no clue, I'd love to have enough to play live!

and about the K5 stuff, yeah its not really bingo.. more the pros balancing their range so they aren't too readable, especially nit hellmuth.. even though tbh he tries all kinds of weird nonsense that's nonstandard and complains when it blows up in his face.
