I am familiar with pot odds but not as much with applied odds. What comes to my mind with implied odds is how much more chips I can extract with a value bet if I hit. Any feed back ,info,or suggestions?

The pot odds are just that, the odds that the current pot us giving you. Implied odds are what you were alluding to... the value you may or may not be able to extract if you do hit a hand good enough to win the pot. It will be important to note your opponents stack size. Of course there is a good bit of judgement that comes into play. Completing a flush draw on the turn may kill all of the action and you may get no more than what is already in the pot. Against a different opponent who has made a set you may take his whole stack. That judgement will be key to whether or not continuing on is "worth it".

Yes I agree. You might want most of your money called before flush hits, but an outside straight hit could bring more chips against a set with a value bet
